As a New Yorker, I have lived at this property and just right over the bridge in Brooklyn. I have stayed in this area because not only is it beautiful and convenient but also safe. I am a Nurse of 20 years who loves to travel so I understand the importance of being comfortable when enjoying a vacation.

Why Maria Dejesus chose Staten Island

I raised my family in this house, I want to share the joy that we have gotten throughout the years with families who want to see New York together without having the expense hotel costs. Here there are restaurants but if you'd like to sight see and then come home to make a meal, there is a huge kitchen to do just that.

What makes this house unique

One great part about NY is the ease of travel, being situated in South Beach we are only 15-20 minutes away from either Manhattan via the ferry or Brooklyn just one short bus ride away. You can catch a Broadway show, go shopping or lay out on the beach walking distance away.

There is also a full-size grill in the yard if you'd like to have a barbecue, one extra benefit to ditching a hotel.

Private driveway, if you choose to rent a car, as well as plenty of street parking.

Beautiful home and spacious!

We recently stayed at this property and really enjoyed our stay! The house is spacious and well kept up which was a perfect fit since there were eight of us. There was a construction issue where the water was turned of during the day but Maria went above and beyond to provide water and necessary items to accommodate us. Would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in Staten Island.

Wonderful time in this spacious, perfectly equipped house

As a group of nine people, 4 adults and 5 kids, we spent a wonderful time in this great house, which turned out to be the perfect starting point for our day trips to NYC.

As the weather was great, we highly profited from the lovely garden and had the chance to relax after long days of walking and sightseeing as if being in Eden.

The house, which Maria and Luis take care of passionately, is perfectly equipped - there is nothing you will miss neither in the kitchen, nor when it comes to technical equipment. The rooms are very spacious, and it was easy to find a comfortable and cozy place to sleep for all of us. With the high amount of bathrooms, there was no time wasted waiting in line.

Maria and Luis' house is in great condition, and they keep it extremely clean. There were lots of towels and linens provided, much more than we needed, and all bed cloth, linens and towels were freshly washed, which we really appreciated.

Communication with Maria and Luis was perfect - very easy, reliable and friendly.

We will definitely recommend this house to friends who plan to visit the area with a larger group - and even come back ourselves whenever possible!

NO RUNNING WATER, misrepresentation

We were due to arrive Sunday morning and the friday before we were informed that there will be NO WATER for the whole week of our stay MON- FRI from 8am to 4pm. We were told that she would supply buckets for us to fill bottled water in. She REFUSED to refund us any money or compensate for the inconvenience. She was inconsiderate and didnt care that we are coming to be on vacation, and not have to be worried to wake up prior to 8am to wash our face or use the bathroom. No matter how nice a place is, being able to use the facilites and not drive to another location is more important!!!

Owner's Response: Someone who is inconsiderate would have waited until guest arrived and left a note about no running water between 8am to 4pm. As soon as I got notice on my mail box and I informed guest. Her review was placed when she was angry and upset and prior to her traveling . I have no problem with someone writing bad review but not before I had a chance to find solutions.I had no control over what the city planned for the pipes. I came up with solutions because , I know people take time off from work to vacation and looking forward to getting away. Before, knowing about this review I had offered a discount but guest had already decided to travel even though there was this problem. It was not just buckets a water which I would have for 4 bathrooms. It was bottled water to drink,hand wipes,hand sanitiers,wash cloths basin for every bathroom also,paper plates ,papercups for cold and hot drinks and napkins. Mostly travelers come to see NYC not to stay in a home. This was one isolate problem that I hope never happens again.

Une très belle expérience

Magnifique maison, très fonctionnelle et bien équipée, dans un quartier calme. Nous étions neuf, et jamais à l'étroit. Il faut accepter le principe du trajet d'une heure pour arriver à Manhattan, mais le ferry est gratuit, on y a une belle vue. Notre hôtesse Maria nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse, et s'est toujours montrée disponible, en répondant rapidement, pour nos demandes (telles que trouver un traiteur pour le 24). Nous recommandons sans réserve cette maison.

Roomy House, Wonderful People

Maria was very friendly. She greeted us at the house with fresh flowers and birthday novelties since we were in New York to celebrate my birthday. The house had every house hold item you might need. The best part of the house is it's roomy layout, perfect for large families, and the backyard! It's decorated beautifully and has plenty Tiki candles and repellent to keep the bugs away.

This is the perfect house if you're looking to get away and relax!

If you plan to go to the city everyday be prepared to travel! It took roughly a hour to get anywhere outside Staten Island. Public transportation is about a 15 minute walk. This is cool if you don't mind walking a lot. It was a challenge for my mother and aunt. So Uber was my biggest expense during the trip.

Overall my family and I had a lovely time. Maria was great with communication. I would highly recommended this property!!

Beautiful semi-attached property with cozy private yard. Three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 4 beds, 2 pull-outs. This space can sleep anywhere from 6-8 guests.

This location is walking distance from local beach where you can walk on the boardwalk or soak up the sun. The Staten Island Rail Road is only a 7 minute walk where you can travel to the Staten Island Ferry and be in Manhattan within the hour.

One bus stop, only walking distance away, will lead you to the Staten Island Mall or the other direction will lead you into Uptown Brooklyn via the Verrazano Bridge. Bay Ridge shopping area is right over the bridge, only a 15 minute bus ride.

There are many restaurants to choose from only 4 blocks away, along with grocery stores, pharmacies and laundromats.

Beautiful kitchen, with stainless steel appliances and dishwasher will make you feel right at home. You can have breakfast in the yard right next to the rose arch and fresh flowers in the garden.

The yard is also beautiful at night, featuring a full-size hammock with lights illuminating the entire space, grab a glass of wine and kick back.

The basement, living area stays nice and cool through the summer months where you can relax and watch movies, HBO, Showtime and other premium channels on a rainy day.
