About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

This one bedroom, smoke-free condo is located in the Ekahi Village, and is a short (less than 4 minutes)walk to beautiful Keawakapu Beach. This is a very private ground floor unit located in Building 19. There are four beautiful swimming pools, one overlooking the beach featuring a large pavilion with BBQ, kitchen, and bathroom facilities.

This ground floor unit has a beautiful green belt right off of the 225 sq. ft. lanai. This lanai faces west so you can enjoy the evening sun as it sets. While sitting on your lanai, you can enjoy istening to the waves crash on beautiful Keawakapu beach.

The master bedroom features a king size bed with blackout curtains and is attached to a large south facing private lanai. The living area sleeps two on the queen sofa bed. The bathroom has been updated with a new shower. The unit comes with high speed (able to stream movies), Apple TV and Netflix. There is an iPod docking station as well as free long distance phone calls to the US and Canada. (We will consider stays for less than 5 nights but they are on an individual basis and are primarily accepted when they fill an opening).

But this is all just the beginning because at Ekahi Village you have access to all of Wailea. Wailea features world-renowned golf and tennis, beaches and an array of exquisite shops and restaurants. There's easy access to the 2 mile oceanfront 'Wailea Boardwalk'. You can also walk to some of the nicest hotels on Maui and enjoy their restaurants, ocean activities and other amenities including: snorkeling, diving, kayak and sailboat rentals. Why The Owner chose Maui

We are a family of 4 who love Maui. We fell in love with the Ekahi Village complex because of the amenities, and fantastic beach and the amazing location of this unit. The beach is perfect for both snorkling and boogie boarding. We will be able to enjoy this complex with our children now and for our retirement later. We bought this particular unit (19C) because of the GREAT location to the beach and the pool pavilion (no hills to walk up!). As a bonus there is a beautiful grassy area right off the lanai. The unit is set back making it both quiet and private. And our favorite part is listening to the waves crash onto the beach while we eat our dinner on the lanai.

What makes this condo unique

* 3 minute flat walk (no hills) to the beach and pool pavllion

* you can hear the waves crash on the beach while on the lanai

* lanai is set back off of a green belt making the unit very quiet and private

* beautiful landscaping all around you as you sit on the lanai

* one minute walk to one of 3 quiet pools

* away from the main streets of Okolani and Wailea Alanui Drive

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was our first time visiting Maui and we were not disappointed!! We spent our time basking in the sun, snorkeling and boogie boarding in the ocean - loved swimming with the sea turtle that lives in the reef! We cooked almost all our meals here and loved how fully stocked this place is - everything is here and is in good working order. We did a few trips around the island to Makena, Paia and Lahaina and all are very uniquely beautiful. Gannon's is a great spot for a happy-hour drink with a view! Our little baby girl turned 9 months old while here and learned to crawl and "jump" into the pool. We think she loved it more than we did. We will definitely be coming back to Hawaii and hope that 19C can be our temporary home away from home again. Mahalo for having us!

Slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

We just got home from 2 wonderful weeks in Wailea at ekahi 19c. Loved every moment! It was my first visit, so I researched A LOT before deciding. So happy with this choice. 5 minute easy walk to the big beachfront pool, and speaking of the beach, Keawapaku is perfection. We were a family of 2 adults and an almost 6 year old, so kid friendly was a must. The beach, especially in the morning, has gentle waves and the sand (no rocks) slopes gently out with no scary drop off. We spent many hours jumping waves and playing in the water. Afternoon waves got bigger, but that was fun too!

No restaurants were really comfortable walking distance with a child, but a 4 minute drive either to Wailea shops or Kihea and you have lots of choice. Or BBQ on your lanai! (The Island Gourmet market sells chicken fingers & fries to go, if your child needs a little easy comfort food like ours). Coconuts Fish Cafe in kihea was a favourite for fish & chips, tacos, and ono on a bun. Monkeypod in Wailea was a delicious fancier night out that was still totally kid friendly (and the mai tais... wow).

The condo was situated perfectly to maximize privacy and a huge grassy area is great for kids to burn off steam, running around in the tropical scented flowers (yes- it's that perfect). We wound up all sleeping in the super comfy king size bed, but there were futon options for kids, and the pull out bed too. Kitchen well eqipped for any meal you can dream up. Some basics there like salt pepper sugar and random condiments in fridge.

Plan to return asap! Jodi the owner and Anita the caretaker were both fabulous to deal with. A+!

Our favorite Ekahi condo

  • 5 of 5

This is a great condo in a great location within the Ekahi development. The grounds of the Ekahi development are immaculate and the flowers are breathtaking. The condo was very clean and we appreciated that the kitchen is stocked with a large variety of spices and cooking oils. The kitchen includes upscale appliances, and enough tableware, even including plastic plates and cups to take down to the pool to enjoy an evening dinner poolside. Also very nice to have access to Apple TV and our favorite kids' shows on netflix and Hulu!

The lanai is huge with very tasteful furniture, and the propane grill is large, well maintained and easy to use. The lanai looks out on a private lawn for the few buildings in the area, with the ocean in the distance. Comfortable bed and nice patio outside the bedroom - we slept most nights with the patio door and bedroom windows open (locked) and the ceiling fan on and enjoyed the breeze. The AC works great too.

The shower has a triple showerhead with custom tile, very upscale.

The condo is a short, easy walk down to the beachside pool, which is amazing, and to the beach, also amazing. We enjoyed the beachside path walk every morning, and walked to a nearby luau at the Wailea Marriott.

Great Maui Condo

  • 5 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed our one month stay in this Ekahi condo. The unit is spacious, well appointed and immaculate.

We especially appreciated the large Lanai that is so secluded that one feels you are in a private garden.

The proximity to a sandy beach is another bonus. We only hope that we can return next year

Private condo close to the sea

  • 5 of 5

Condo was as it appears in the photos. Furniture was comfortable and nicely furnished. Loved that the kitchen was furnished with enough supplies to make it convenient for light cooking/ food prep. Didn't have to worry about beach towels, chairs, bags etc for beach time . All well stocked for our use! Joni was responsive and helpful. Allowed us a later check out! The location was great as it allowed us to take long beach walks from our beach access area. Only about 5 minute walk to the water . So easy. Heavenly!

Amazing Escape

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in this Ekahi suite twice now and each visit has been fantastic. You're a 5-minute stroll through tropical gardens to a wonderful family pool and patio area, and a beach with crystal clean water and a sandy bottom (no rocks like much of the rest of Wailea). The ground floor layout is very spacious: you feel like you're in a home (not a cramped condo like much of Hawaii). The patio is divine: sit outside in the warm evenings, listening to crickets, peeping frogs and the surf while drinking a Big Wave beer.

Jodi's taste is impeccable: the furniture and decor has an understated Polynesian theme. It is lush, comfortable and functional all at the same time. The kitchen has top-notch appliances and is extremely well stocked. There are thoughtful touches throughout from masks & snorkels to beach chairs and an umbrella, a baby crib, booster seat and soft beach towels. There is a generous supply of spices, kitchen supplies, soap, detergent, etc. This saves time, money and hassle. The aircon works silently but we seldom used it. There is a TV that we've never watched. When you're done with the pool or the sea, take a long stroll along the Wailea beach promenade; you'll likely see sea turtles near some of the rocky outcrops.

You will never want to leave.
