This cabin did not disappoint! Everything was very well maintained and clean. It took a little longer to get up and down the mountain than expected so if you have activities in Asheville or outside of Black Mountain that are at a certain time, be mindful of that. The hike behind the house was lots of fun and easy to find. Would highly recommend this cabin for a large group!

A great, attractive, very tasteful property with everything for a fun and relaxing getaway. It is s bit off the beaten track, but everyone wanted to stay put and just enjoy it anyhow. The trails, the house (which is spacious) the fireplace and the hot tub were all enjoyed!

40th Birthday Party

  • 4 of 5

The house was awesome! There was ample space and it was well appointed. Great location with amazing views.

The surrounding area was great for hiking and exploring. The only down side to the entire experience was there was never

enough hot water for two quick showers at any given time. Other than that we had a fantastic time at the Bear Lodge.

Our stay at the cabin was better than we could have imagined! Great spaces inside with a wonderful homey and comfortable feeling, and fantastic views looking out onto beautiful mountainside with awesome sunsets. Property is well maintained with a huge kitchen/entertainment area, tons of sleeping ares, central fire place, and lots of comfy places to relax. The owner was very accessible and responsive to our concerns. We would go back in a heartbeat. Nearby Black Mountain had yummy places to eat and lots of quaint shops, supermarket with huge selection. Ashville a little further but still an easy trip from the cabin. Can't wait to return!

Awesome Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderfully appointed large cabin. Anything you might want is there. Big kitchen, wash/dryer, fireplace, garage, deck, hot tub, etc., etc. Very clean, fully stocked as far as I could tell. and spectacular views from every window. I would highly recommend and can't wait to return. Near by town of Black Mountain had great restaurants and shopping as well.
