Close to Beach with Everything You could Want or Need
We had a great stay in Carpinteria at this property, it was more than easy to find and our experience there was all positive. It's threadbare in wall decor, but makes up for it with it's stunning location, full amenities, and clean interior. Every bed, except the small twin, was comfortable and had clean sheets, pillows, and blankets. There were tons of towels at the house, lots of dishes, and plenty of seating. We comfortably fit 7 women at the house and really appreciated the well groomed backyard. We left our vehicle parked at the house and used the train to get to SB, but what this doesn't tell you is about the gorgeous community property right across the street, it was so nice to walk by every single day. Like the title suggests, this house is close to the beach and several great restaurants and a few breweries. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely look into this house again in the future.
I do suggest adding more pot holders and kitchen hand towels, but we managed fine without.
This house was great for our stay. We had 6 adults and one child. The location is close to the beach and many amazing restaurants.
The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans and dishes, but no salt, pepper or cooking oils so be sure to grab some at the store. The beds are firm, which was great for us!
Not clean or well stocked.
This place was very nice and well maintained on the outside. The inside was not very clean or well kept. It had stained sheets and stained dirty mattresses. The upstairs carpet had many stains. There were large gaps (several inches) in the flooring in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. The silverware was all tossed in a drawer without an organizer. It looked like a yard sale. Some of the utensils were broken with no handles. Not even basics available like salt and pepper. We left a day early and took the loss because our children didn’t want to sleep in the beds. Dissapointing. It’s unfortunate because it could be a nice place. The mattresses need washable protective covers. The upstairs carpet needs replacing. A nail in the laminate kitchen flooring would prevent it from sliding and making large gaps. Inexpensive drawer organizers, a baking pan, a few inexpensive spices, and a bbq grill and a deep cleaning are needed.
Had a great time at your place. It was just the what we needed for our out of town guests. We love the Carpinteria area and your house was perfect for our needs. Easy access in and out of the house too. The neighborhood was quiet and it was an easy walk to the town and beach area. We would definitely stay there again!
Pretty house close to the beach
The house was very well maintained. The furniture seemed new. We had plenty of room for 10 people, but you need to be organized so that 5 people can sleep in the same room. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and were very happy with the place.
Not that great
Property was close to the beach but the beach had lots of tar that got on everything. The house was not that clean. (Carpets had lots of dirty spot and the main rug in the common area had about 1/8" of sand under it. The towels had dark spots as well.) There is no air conditioning except for a fan that had a very clogged return air filter that made a very loud air noise when the fan was run. We had to shut it off and open all of the window to get any cooling air. Two of the upstairs windows were missing a screen that was not only a way for bugs but not safe for the two children that were with us. The clothes washer was not easy to get going but it may be because it was the type that had to sense the load before washing. ( The manager did let us use the adjacent property washer though.) This was also in addition to the manager (Aslem) not sending the information to access the property until 3 days before we were scheduled to be there. Despite repeated request for that information. As I now recall all of the above problems I am being kind to give it a 3 star rating
