Eagle River House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10-15)

Please come enjoy this spacious (over 3000 Square Foot) home on Bass Lake in Eagle River. This house was just remodeled (finished January 2012) with continual updates and improvements since! The home sits within 25 feet of the water’s edge and is filled with high-end amenities. Bass Lake is a clear private lake just 4 miles east of Eagle River. Bass is a great fishing lake and our frontage is dead-level onto Sugar Sand, perfect for swimming.

The house has 4 bedrooms including a giant Master Suite furnished with a log king bed and a daybed with trundle, a two-sided gas fireplace, lake views, a patio and a full private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a large jetted tub. Relax in the tub as you gaze at the fire! There is another large bedroom on the main floor known as the “Moose Room.” This is a quiet room with a queen bed. The last bedroom on the main floor has hardwood floors and a custom log twin over queen bunk. There is an additional bedroom downstairs with a double bed (in the walkout basement).

As you open the front door you walk into a big marble-floored entryway. There is a laundry room with washer, drier and ironing board available for your use. There is a full bathroom with tub and a full gourmet kitchen. There are brand new stainless appliances including a fridge with an ice maker and water dispenser, a dishwasher, a double oven and a 5 burner gas cooktop! We’ve filled the cabinet with everything you’ll need to cook like a chef from a coffee maker and toaster to waterless cookware (there’s regular cookware as well). We have a large dining table that easily accommodates 10. The great room has floor to ceiling windows perfect for enjoying the lake. Kickback on the couch as you read a book and enjoy the gas fire.

The walkout basement is bright during the day from the large eye-level lakeside windows. If you need to loosen up after a long day on the trails (biking, hiking or snowmobiling) fill up the hot tub and take a soak. You can see the LCD TV from the tub or wait until you’re dried off and unwind on the leather sectional sofa. You can watch movies on the DVD player or just enjoy the best DirecTV has to offer (we get every channel), all with surround sound; and yes, we do get the Packer game. You can surf the web or check in on work while Up North on our wireless internet (WiFi). There is also a bathroom with a shower.

Enjoy the sunrise from the large deck. There is a gas grill and fire ring to enjoy later in the day (we'll have 1/4 face cord of camp firewood there for you). Though the house is close to the lake, there is plenty of lawn for outdoor activities. A canoe is included and a pontoon boat is availabe for rent, inquire for details.

This home is owned and managed by a local Father & Son. We love the area and we’re here to make sure you do too. Please call us anytime (before you book or when you are here) and we’ll do anything we can for you!

About Nick or Mark

Mark (the dad) enjoys retirement with his wife Sharon from their home on Catfish Lake in Eagle River. Jake (the son) is a business banker in Eagle River. He lives with his wife, Laura, and their young sons, Olin & Jackson, on Carpenter Lake in Eagle River.

We enjoy the lakes in the summer, hunting and fishing in the fall, snowmobiling, skiing and ice-fishing in the winter and logging in the spring.

Nick or Mark purchased this house in 2011

Why Nick or Mark chose Northern Wisconsin

We love the area and Jake wanted to enter the hopitality industry. The high-end amenities of the home are great; but as soon as we saw the frontage we knew we HAD to have the home. We think you'll feel the same way.

Family Vacation

We had a great week of fishing. Grandsons kept busy catching bass, northern, bluegills and walleye.

It was so nice walking out the back door to the pier and jumping on the pontoon boat.

The house was clean and served our needs to a tee. Will consider doing this again.

Family Getaway Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time my husband and I have ever done a family get a way weekend with all of our children, spouses and their children. Although the weather was not favorable (it rained or sprinkled the majority of the weekend) for swimming, the grand kids didn't mind wading in the water and building sand castles on the beach. Almost all of us were on the water at some point and time, either in fishing boats or kayaks. Fishing was great, everything from pan fish for the little ones to catch to hooking into that elusive musky. LOVED the house and all the space for everyone to sit around the table for meals or lounge around and read or watch tv. Sitting out by the fire pit (yes, we did between the rains). No complaints at all. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Actually thinking maybe some winter ice fishing/skating. Thanks for helping us make some great memories!

Great Stay! Awesome Customer Service!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this property for 3 nights around Thanksgiving time for a get together with family and friends. We had 10 adults and 3 children staying at the property and it very comfortably accommodated sleeping for our group of 13. For our Thanksgiving meal we easily accommodated and cooked for 17 people. Plenty of cookware! 2 ovens and nice 5 burner stove. We were able to prepare a feast!

Nice features included the fireplaces. 3 gas fireplaces that come on with the flip of a switch. Given the fresh snow outside it made for a cozy environment. Views of the Lake were fantastic! The place is quiet as well. We never saw either one of the neighbors on each side of the property.

The only recommendation I would have is that a grill on the deck would be nice. While there is a ton of cookware, ovens, etc.. a grill is the only thing lacking in that department. With that being said, we had an amazing stay and I would say everything lived up to expectation!

Lastly I would like to add that the owner is super nice and very helpful. He made checking in and out an absolute breeze! He also gave us his phone number and took the time answer any questions we had regarding local activities and fishing!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the great review Aden! I should have mentioned that we are in a grill transition. We are switching from gas to charcoal (due to many guest requests) and I didn't think anyone would want to stand out in the cold to cook:) I'll make sure to get the new grill on the deck before our next guests. Thanks again, Jake

beautiful cabin

  • 5 of 5

This house is more beautiful than the pictures. Very roomy forcour family. All modern conveniences. It was very clean. The pontoon boat is worth renting if you are into fishing. The fishing was excellent and we caught many fish bass, pike, and a lot of pan fish. Only bad part of vacation was the weather I was very cold for that time of year not normal. We sat in house by the big windows and watches the deer walk across the property. A. Very relaxing vacation.

Awesome Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We spent the last week of July at this fabulous Vacation home. We had family coming and going all week and it was wonderful. We enjoyed the beautiful lake so much, fishing, boating, boarding, tubing and swimming. The new fire pit is beautiful and we enjoyed using it every night, along with the hot tub. We can't wait to return next year.
