We rented this property to use as a base to go into Yellowstone NP. It was a relatively short drive to the north entrance from the house. The house itself was great! A heat wave had apparently passed through while we were there, but no issues with this. It cooled off in the evening and simply opening windows allowed the air flow to pass through and cool it off. Saw mule deer in the front yard most days. Pronghorns were close by in a field as well. Looks like the property offered easy access to fishing as the river is nearby too. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies and they were simple to locate. Had a selection of movies and games. Looking at the stars from the backyard was nice as well. We don't get that kind of view at home. Would definitely stay here again!
Love this quirky little home! Clean is the most important thing for me in a rental or hotel, and this home was perfectly maintained. It was cute and cozy.
The cabin was very clean and spacious. It was the perfect getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at this great little cabin. The location was perfect and close to Yellowstone, but far enough away to feel secluded. The scenery outside the cabin was amazing. It had a lovely front porch to sit out on and view the night sky and surrounding mountains. We had deer greet us every morning. The decorations were quirky and cute. It has a washer and drier which was really helpful. The cabin also had all the supplies you could possibly need. It was also a nice short walk to the river in case you want to go fishing or swimming. The cabin's owner, Ken, was very nice and communicative and gave us lots of suggestions for activities in the area and good restaurants. I highly recommend this cabin if you are looking for a good Yellowstone base camp, or just relaxing in the beautiful area of Emigrant.
Our family of four really loved this spacious, colorful and well designed retreat close to Yellowstone. We could get to the Northern entrance to the park within 30 minutes and spent long days hiking and exploring. It was great to get back to a cottage that was so thoughtfully designed and such a nice refuge. It has everything you need and then some-and the house is quiet, peaceful and restful. Definitely check out Chico Hot Springs down the road as well as Wildflour Bakery right nearby. We'd go back in a heartbeat!
