We were very dissatisfied with our stay at this rental. We have made 5 trips to the gulf this year and this was by far the WORST place we've stayed. The good: location and a pool nearby. The bad: small place, wifi and cable were not working properly, no tv's in other bedrooms other than children's room, lawn needs care, wear/tear on the place needs maintenance, the downstairs screened in porch was dirty with cheap plastic furniture, no curtains over the blinds, no means to open/close the blinds, icemaker does not work and dishwasher not working properly
This was the first weekend of the football season with 4 guys to watch the big game...what happens? The cable is out. Yes, totally out. No way to get it to come back on in HD. If you need channels such as ESPN, etc...go elsewhere, this is not a high tech place to stay by any means. The outside needs maintenance: the grass was knee high in the yard, the wooden stairs has nail pop ups (which cut our feet) and the lawn furniture was old and plastic. The house would be great for a family with small children that just needed a DVD player in the bedroom; however, do not count on the cable TV to work. There were not TV's in the master or 2nd bedroom, only in the room with bunk beds and it did not have cable. The TV did not allow XBOX hookups, which is very inconvenient for teenage boys. The Wifi not working consistently was very inconvenient as well on rainy days at the beach. The dishwasher did not work 1/2 the time. We had to run it through the cycle at least 2x for one wash. I ended up hand washing dishes the entire time. The windows have blinds; however, the mechanism to open and close them was broken and laying in the corner of the room. There was nothing spectacular about the place really and we paid more (yes, more) for the weekend in September than we did for Spring Break or 4th of July in Navarre. So, if you are desperate, go ahead and stay...you will be charged for it with no added benefits.
