As Brian is a log home builder, we were thrilled to find this property for sale over 20 years ago and began to plan our dream log home. We loved the location.... it is in the middle of everything and yet a quiet, hidden neighborhood. We are walking distance to the lovely mountain resort town of Dillon nestled on the shores of breathtaking Lake Dillon and offering festivals, theater, concerts, restaurants, shopping and 6 world class ski areas just 5 to 30 minutes away.

This downstairs 2 bedroom apartment offers a cozy log feel, spacious living and game area (fooseball table), flagstoned back patio for outside relaxation, bbq grill cooking and a breathtaking view of the valley below and up towards the Continental Divide. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with your own entrance and plenty of parking. PLUS .... TWO DAILY ski passes!!
Thank you for the great spot to stay. We were close to Keystone, A Basin, & Breck. The transferable passes were fantastic bonus as well. Plenty of space for 4 guys on a ski trip. Massage chair got plenty of use after day and night skiing adventures..Thanks again & look forward to returning next season..
Clean comfortable accommodations close to skiing. Many personal touches including ,of course, the use of two ski passes. The only reason this is not 5 star for me is the lack of full kitchen. There is a small dorm fridge, microwave and toaster oven available as well as a hot plate. Also a gas grill outside was available. It was fine for us for this short trip but if we were to stay longer it would have been nicer to have full kitchen.
The space was generally as described and the hosts very friendly and helpful, but it is definitely not fancy and has few frills and isn't the cleanest - it is amazing how the prices have escalated in this area during peak seasons for what you get. The unit is spacious but the accommodations are very basic and the old shag carpeting was filled with pet hair which triggered my daughters allergies and a major asthma attack which ruined our night, ski day and increased the cost of our stay in the area (we paid for two nights but only could stay one because of the pet hair situation and then also had to pay for a hotel 45 minutes away the 2nd night). It is the basement of the hosts' home so footsteps, dog barking (3 dogs I think) and conversations upstairs are easily heard. The road is poorly plowed and the access is down a flight of stairs and along a walk under the eaves of the house so we had icy water dripping on us as we walked to/from the car and our son slipped and fell hard on the ice that builds up on the walkway (despite the owner's efforts to salt it and keep it clear). The basement is a bit musty and the perfume they use to try to mask it only makes it more unpleasant to sensitive noses. The kitchenette is good for microwaving but with few pots/pans; don't plan on cooking anything in it other than hot drinks and oatmeal. The sink is oddly next door in the laundry room and is just a laundry sink - the water smells of sulfur so you'll want to use their Brita filter. The owners did provide some bottled water which was appreciated.
It's a place to stay - and the ski passes are a great bonus if you need them - but know what you are getting for your money.
This property was exactly as described, and ended up being a great option for us. The owners were incredibly nice, responsive, and delivered everything as promised. Easy access to Dillion with plenty of restaurant options/groceries, and nearby ski resorts (Keystone, A-Basin, and Breck) + cheap rental shops. The massage chair and ski passes make this a great value! We would definitely stay here again!
Great deal with lots of personal attention to detail. We are looking forward to returning.
We stayed here for a ski trip in February. It worked out perfectly for us. Casi and Brian, the owners, were so friendly and welcoming. The biggest perk was the two free ski passes per day that were good for Keystone, A-Basin and Breckenridge. Skiing is not cheap and that helped us out a bunch. There were 5 of us that stayed here. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The beds were comfortable and warm. We used the kitchenette to make breakfast and pack a lunch each day. The boys loved playing foosball in the evenings and we played games such as Pictionary and Battleship as well. We enjoyed the massage chair immensely after a long day of skiing. Casi made the space so welcoming with fresh fruit on the table, popcorn, water, coffee and hot chocolate (great after a long day of skiing). We had trouble with the TV and Brian came right down to fix it for us. There was one bathroom, but that worked out just fine for us. The description does not give the view justice! There is an amazing view out the back sliding glass door that is just beautiful. It looks over a valley and we enjoyed it each morning and afternoon. Casi and Brian, thank you for sharing your beautiful home, for the use of your ski passes and for making our ski trip one we will not soon forget. We hope to come back again someday!
