Our log cabin is located in a quaint coastal fishing village on the northern coast of Maine; a haven for artists, photographers, writers, hikers, cyclists, kayakers, birders, and golfers. Our cabin accommodates families and friends, and we welcome pets too. We like to consider our cabin as "basecamp" for all of your adventures while here in Maine...Our cabin is a comfortable place to "hang your hat" after a day outdoors. The cabin is very clean and simple and private, and allows you to feel the character of Maine. If you are looking for a fancy place with a lot of amenities, our cabin is probably not for you.
The cabin accommodates up to 4 people comfortably.
We encourage you to sit by your camp fire at night, and listen to ocean hit the rocky coast off in the distance. We also recommend a walk to the harbor at sunrise to watch the working lobstermen and to view the beautiful sunrises. Acadia National Park (Schoodic peninsula) is a short 10 minute drive from the cabin and provides breathtaking views of Cadillac Mtn. Acadia is well-known for hiking, biking, kayaking, whale watching, or just enjoying a quiet picnic by the ocean. All of this is just minutes from the cabin. Or you can simply relax on the porch of the cabin and listen to birds while reading a favorite book. Life is simple in Corea by the sea, and we hope that you will come to visit us and truly have an enjoyable vacation.
Your host, Beatty, will provide you with all the local knowledge you need, and she will make sure that you are enjoying your stay. After all, this is her special homestead... she welcomes all happy people!
We just spent three days at this cabin with our two kids and it was perfect. The cabin was clean and in a quiet setting and it was so nice to come back to this cabin after the crowded day in Bar Harbor! Corea is a beautiful place. We even got lobsters every night from the local lobstermen right in the harbor. We will definitely be back. Thank you!
We stayed here just before Labor Day weekend, a family with two young boys, and absolutely loved it. It's a gorgeous location, the house has this great cottage feel, it's not huge by any means but that didn't matter to us. The owner/manager left a note for us when we arrived with local information and the house had brochures in a binder with information for things to do. The property was secluded and just breathtaking. There's a small fire pit on the side to enjoy evenings, cable worked fine for when we wanted to relax in the evening, and there was a horse shoe toss for the kids. From the deck I spotted multiple hummingbirds in the flowers right next to the house. I can honestly say the best thing about this place, sunrise! We took the bed in the loft that faces the wharf and the window allows you to perfectly capture the sunrise.
My fiancé and I absolutely loved staying at this cabin in Corea with our two pups. We instantly fell in love with the quiet and beautiful town of Corea. Everyone we met was so pleasant and personable. The cabin was very clean(coming from someone with cleanliness OCD!) and had everything we needed. Maybe it was that cool ocean breeze at night, but we slept like babies!
We had a wonderful week on our honeymoon. You are close enough to everything to enjoy your day, but yet far enough out that it's so quiet and peaceful in the evening. Could have asked for a better week!

Our family was on a two week road trip from Michigan and stayed at 6 different rental properties over that time period. This cabin was, by far, our favorite! It was SUPER clean, so cute, and in a beautiful setting. The owners were very helpful and had thought of all the details needed to make our stay comfortable. Wifi coverage was pretty sketchy and our cell phones didn't receive service in the area - so we were a bit limited our ability to get information online or communicate with our families back home, but other than that we had a wonderful time.
Such a nice little cabin, very quiet and clean, and the owners were so kind. It took us a day to slow down our pace and appreciate where we were, but what a great fishing community, and Schoodic peninsula was just beautiful! We will be back next year to stay for a week. Thank you.
This cozy cottage is in a lovely setting a short walk away from the fishing village of Corea. It is clean and comfortable, has a galley kitchen and plenty of room to sleep six. Close to Acadia national park and 10 minutes from the ferry to Bar Harbor, the location is perfect for birders. Our family has been visiting since 1995 and we plan
to return every year!
Corea Harbor is a paradise for photographers, naturalists, artists, writers, birders, cyclists, and hikers. It is a quaint coastal fishing village set away from time. If you love the outdoors and seek simplicity, this is a place that you will truly enjoy. It will set you free from the busy world we all get caught up in! Our property is less than a mile from the National Wildlife Refuge, and you are sure to see bald eagles and osprey and hummingbirds etc. Acadia National Park (Schoodic peninsula) is less than 10 minutes away and the ferry to Bar Harbor is only a 20 minute boat ride, or 50 min by car. Enjoy a camp fire at night outside of your cabin or walk down to the harbor to get your fresh lobster from the local lobstermen. We welcome outdoor enthusiasts, writers, photographers etc to stay in our rustic log cabin and we hope that you will enjoy our simple way of life.
