Nicely appointed, non-smoking 2 bedroom apt minutes from downtown, beaches, Freeport and Kennebunkport. 5 houses from a park with tennis and basketball courts, 5K running path and playground. Apt is located on SECOND floor of owner-occupied building. It is fully furnished and includes washer/dryer. The apt works best for ONE couple, or small family, since the bathroom is accessed thru the master bedroom. Sunny. TV, basic cable an WiFi. Love living in Portland for all it offers, especially our neighborhood, Payson Park, which has tennis courts, walking paths and quiet spaces to picnic and/or simply relax amongst the trees. A five minute drive into downtown Portland, METRO bus at end of our street or an inexpensive UBER ride home from downtown.

What makes this apartment unique

Access to Payson Park and Back Cove walking path -- a 4 mile r/t walk from our front door.

Comfortable and clean apartment

We really enjoyed our stay in Portland. This apartment is the second floor of a renovated farm house. It had everything we needed and was conveniently located in a quiet section of town, next to a beautiful park. Susan is the perfect hostess and helped us get oriented when we arrived. Cozy, comfy and roomy

This property is and older home but it's clean and well appointed. The homeowner lives downstairs and is extremely responsive to the needs of her guests. We stayed for one week to move our son to college in Portland and the property suited all of my family's needs. It is a short drive to everything Portland has to offer.

I felt like we made new friends by coming here to stay and would not hesitate to come back again.

If you are looking for luxury then this place isn't for you, but if you want to feel like you can take your shoes off and feel right at home then I would certainly recommend staying here.

The only negative is that the single bathroom must be accessed through one of the bedrooms. We didn't have a problem with it but some folks might.

Great Location

We had a fabulous four night stay in this cozy upstairs apartment on a quiet street. The place was very reasonably priced for Portland and suited all of our needs. It was located in the perfect place for us, within walking distance of just about any place of interest. A half hour's walk from downtown and quite close to Back Cove which has a lovely path all around. If you wanted to drive anywhere, parking was never a problem. If we go back, I would definitely stay here again. Owner was very flexible with arrival time, and made sure we had all we needed. Enjoyable exhibit at the Portland Museum. We felt fortunate to be there while it was going on. Enjoyed Slices, Holy Donuts, and Allagash Brewery in particular. Spectacular July 4th fireworks show on the Promenade complete with the Portland Philharmonic on stage right there!
