Great location in a quiet family neighborhood. 10 minute walk to the beach, less than 5 minutes on bicycle (provided), or 1 minute in the car.
Our beach is a handicapped accessible, quiet uncrowded beach with life guards and facilities.
The house has central air throughout. In addition, every room in the house has a ceiling fan to keep you comfortable. Every room (including bathrooms) has individual thermostats for personal heat settings.
•The master bedroom is a nice size and contains a king sized bed. There are two large closets, tables, and multiple chest of drawers for you to put your clothes and personal items.
•The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and a large closet, bedside table, and drawer unit.
•The front living room has a queen-size fold-out couch with a memory foam topper.
•The rear family room has a Twin-size fold-out bed with foam topper as well as drawer units and in footstool storage for personal items.
•There is a twin-size fold out cot on wheels stored in the one of the Master bedroom closets (still leaving more than enough room for your clothing and other items in that closet, plus the entire amount of the other closet). You can roll this cot into any room including the sunporch that has blinds for privacy.
•There is the front living room that has two large couches and an armchair for lots of seating. One couch has a fold out bed for extra guests. There is a flat screen TV with Comcast cable and an AppleTV that includes Netflix.
•The rear family room has two love seats, an oversized footstool (large enough for 2 people to sit on), side tables, and a drawer cabinet. There is an additional flat screen TV with Comcast cable and an AppleTV that includes Netflix. So if the kids want to watch something different, you have no problems. One of the love-seats folds out into a twin bed.
•The sunroom is where you will find yourself gravitating much of the time. This room with double-hung windows all the away around allows you to open the screened windows and let ocean air breeze in, pull the blinds for privacy or to block sun, eat breakfast while watching the birds at the feeder outside the window, read a book in the afternoon, eat dinner with the family, or simply relax with a drink after dark. The sunroom has a circulating fan, several heavy duty cushioned chairs and a round table, as well as patio style chairs, side tables, lamps, and a palm tree complete with twinkle lights.,
•The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy yourself and make food and drinks. Some examples include large pots for crabs, blender, toaster, toaster oven, storage containers, wine glasses, spices and condiments, coffee maker, Keurig machine as well as the basic knives, cooking tools, plates and silverware. There is a brand new (2017) fridge with ice maker and water dispenser, brand new oversized gas stove with griddle (2017), microwave, and dishwasher.
The kitchen also has a round table and 4 wooden chairs.
•We provide a gas BBQ stored in the garage along with BBQ tools.
• Full bathroom with handicapped equipped (fold down seat and handrail) walk in oversized shower. Sink & vanity with storage as well as a linen closet to store your towels.
•Powder room is conveniently located off the rear family room.
•The house provides an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The shower is enclosed on all sides and is open to the air at the top. This gives you the great feeling of showering outdoors while still being private. There its also a hose next to the shower for washing off sandy feet and beach equipment when you return home.
•Don’t bring too many clothes. You can use the large capacity washer and dryer to keep your clothes clean, and make packing lighter.
•The house is professionally cleaned between tenants. Outside lawn and shrubs are maintained by a yard service. Commercial sized trash can next to garage that you simply leave out once a week. We leave basic cleaning supplies in the house for you to use if needed.
•Nice sized patio complete with chairs and loungers provided.
•Sheltered grass area at back of sunroom allows for peace and quiet while relaxing in the sun.
•Huge lawn allows for any variety of outdoor sports and activities (more than big enough to throw a football or kick a ball).
•Watch the continual flow of birds that frequent our feeders. Serious bird watchers have rented and told us that they saw many unique and rare birds eat in our yard.
•You are a short walk to several inlet parks and a nature center, walking, biking and driving to a wide variety of different style of beaches, and wide range of local recreation including: Boating, fishing, Jet-Ski, kayaking, bird-watching, shell finding, sunbathing, swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, eating out at great restaurants, visiting the local theatre, listening to live music, sitting in an Adirondack chair on the lawn at Congress Hall watching the waves while sipping a cool drink, shopping at the wide range of stores in town, picnicking (great local cheese shop, local fresh fruits, freshly baked local artisans breads, and several local wineries to provide the wine!), watching sunsets, whale watching, eating ice cream, wakling along the boardwalk, touring Victorian homes, going to fairs, and so much more.
•Off-street parking for two cars and lots of on street parking since this is a quiet neighborhood.
-Outdoor storage & amenities:
•There is a two car garage for you to store any toys or beach item (including large items such as your roof racks, surf boards, boogie boards or kites), as well as an enclosed hot water outdoor shower to clean up after the beach (we actually prefer it to taking a full shower inside, since it’s something you can’t do at home).
•There are many beach items such as chairs, beach toys, and umbrellas provided for your use.
•There are two children’s bikes (teen) and 4 adult bikes provided for a short ride to the beach or into town.

This is a handicapped accessible beach.
Note the extended wooden board walk extending over the sand to help you get closer to the ocean if you need a little extra help or have too much to carry.

Cape May is a great family beach town in all seasons:
Enjoy leisurely strolls to the beach, bike around town, walk to the harbor for a great dinner and do some shopping too. Some of our favorite things to do are wine tasting at the two local wineries, cheese tasting at the cheese shop, visiting the wide variety of restaurants (from fine dining to casual) and getting pizza delivered to us on the beach at sunset. If you like the water, there is a variety of things to do from whale watching to deep sea fishing.
There are several beaches in Cape May all with a different styles and feels. You can check out Poverty beach with the large dunes and great views, go surfing or relax at the Cove with its tide pools, enjoy magnificent sunsets at Sunset Beach, enjoy world class bird watching and climbing the lighthouse at Lighthouse beach, check out Higgsbee Beach for a secluded desert island feel, or one of our favorites, drive up beach avenue in West Cape May and enjoy one of the quiet calm beaches overlooking the bay, then walk up to Harpoon Henry’s for a frozen drink and play some games in the sandy outside patio.
There are so many clubs, restaurants and bars around the area that there is something for everyone. Many of the restaurants have outdoor seating (The Rusty Nail even has an outdoor sandy beach), that there is something for everyone. You will never run out of places to go and enjoy a sunset, drink in hand and some live music.
There are many events and festivals in Cape may throughout the year from beer festivals, dog parades, harvest festivals, restaurant weeks, Victorian Christmas, Christmas parades, July 4th fireworks, theatre festivals, nature center tours, lighthouse events, historical tours, bike rides, air festivals at the airport, surfing contests, fishing events, art festivals, concerts, runs, car shows, beach movies, Celtic festival, Pirate day, art classes, TED talks, military events, Dragon boat races, antique and crafts events, strawberry festival, children’s events, dances, garden tours, house tours, bird watches, events at the Coast Guard Station, auctions, and lots more.
