About Tracey Aberman

I am a professional private chef that has recently opened a new cafe in town. My home is an extension of my personality and I enjoy sharing it and its energy with fellow travelers. I have lived and worked in Northeast Harbor for almost twenty-five years and think it one of the most beautiful places on the east coast. Come find out for yourself! Contact me at Watersigns04660 at gmail dot com. And come say Hi at 123 Main Street Farm to Table Cafe!

Tracey Aberman purchased this farmhouse in 2003

Why Tracey Aberman chose Mount Desert

I started my career as a chef on yachts and landed in Northeast Harbor time and time again. It was so beautiful I bought a home here and recently opened a farm to table cafe in town called 123 Main Street.

What makes this farmhouse unique

For me, having access to Acadia for hiking and biking during the summer and fall and cross country skiing, hot baths and crackling fires in the winter is why I love my home. I love having my friends over for dinner and games but enjoy jumping into Bar Harbor for pizza and a movie at Reel Pizza equally as much. Taking a boat out the Isleford and visiting the art gallery or poking around the shops in Northeast is all a true delight!

This property exceeded our expectations!

  • 5 of 5

This was the very first time we rented a house for vacation. I was a bit nervous at first but after talking to the owner and seeing the pictures I began to feel more at ease. Let me tell you, the house exceeded our expectations!! It had all the comforts of home and more. The house was very clean and well kept. We were a party of 7 adults. There was more than enough room for all of us. The location was great. We were 10 - 15 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The owner had the house stocked and left us her cell phone number if we needed her for any reason. If you are thinking of renting a house check this one out for yourself, you won't be sorry. We love Maine and will certainly rent this house again for our next trip. Thank you Tracey, we had a great vacation.

Owner's Response: Thank you! I also rent homes when I travel and know how much it means to " feel at home" when you arrive at a new place. I'm so happy you felt comfortable at Watersigns...:)

Love love love this house!

I can't say enough positive accolades about this home (or the owner who we met in Northeast Harbor at her shoppe!) So cozy, so put together, so clean. Anything we needed was there. We ran the MDI marathon and it was right on the route so our family set up right in front of the house! Perks of the home included a fireplace with wood, open kitchen plan (with 3 refrigerators!) a shower that had the best water pressure and hot water that I have ever been in (very important!), a tub in the downstairs bathroom, soft, clean linens and towels and a nice grill. You could tell the owners personal touch was there. The house is calm, well spirited and was a joy to stay in. We will certainly be back to run the MDI marathon next year and stay at this home. Thank you so much Tracey!

The house was more then my family and I expected. Clean and comfortable with lots of character. Communication with the homeowner was excellent. Close proximity to Acadia national park.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The house was fabulous. It was all we hoped for and more. Plenty of room for our party of 5 adults and 2 teenagers. The location was very convenient to all of our places of interest in Acadia. We will definitely have to plan a longer trip next time to explore more of Mount Desert Island.

Farmhouse of our dreams, indeed!

  • 5 of 5

Hidden behind the bushes on a major road is this not-so-little gem. There was plenty of space for six of us to spread out, cook meals (we will never again rent a house with a kitchen so well-stocked!), play games, read, nap and just enjoy our time away. Acadia NP is accessible via hike or car, Bar Harbor and Northeast Harbor are 10-15 minutes away, and fishing opportunities are endless. We only wish we could have stayed for an entire month - maybe next time!
