About the property

Get away from it all and treat yourself to our quiet, well-equipped cottage.

Enjoy our little slice of heaven on two acres, just a short walk from New Hampshire's idyllic Crescent Lake. Crescent Lake is New Hampshire's cleanest lake.

Enjoy swimming, mountain biking, road cycling, kayaking, canoeing, hiking and great freshwater fishing. Or just chill out on our private association beach with a book and a glass of wine. Shopping nearby in Sunapee, Claremont and Newport. Be sure to stop by the Unity General Store for your morning coffee and paper.

Our bright and cheery cottage is family and pet friendly. Fully equipped to be your home away from home with complete kitchen, washer and dryer, WiFi, smart TV (internet, Netflix, on demand, etc.), DVD player, Bose Wave radio/CD, plenty of games and more. Please note we do not have cable TV. Cell service is not very reliable, but you are welcome to use the cottage phone for local and calls within the US. With two bedrooms and a sleep sofa in the living room six people are easily accommodated. Enjoy the large deck with lounge chairs, dining table and gas grill. At the beach, grab our three kayaks and explore our wonderful lake.

Shorewood Estates is a cottage community with great and friendly neighbors and a feeling that you've stepped back into a simpler time, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You're going to love this place!

About Phil Bonomo

We have two children and bought this property when they were young, so they have essentially grown up on the lake. We love to share our cottage and believe you will have a great and relaxing time here.

Phil Bonomo purchased this cottage in 2006

Why Phil Bonomo chose New Hampshire

This is a great family spot. A place where memories are made and life is lived simply. Super private, yet steps from the lake and a myriad of wonderful activities!

What makes this cottage unique

We love the quiet setting combined with easy lake access, super hiking, swimming, cycling and more right nearby!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Phil was a wonderful host. He was quick to answer any questions about his property and easy to deal with throughout our stay. We felt very much at home. There was a welcome packet on the dining room table that was very helpful to answer any questions, or to provide recommendations for area attractions/restaurants.

The property is just as described. Spacious, comfortable, and with all the basic amenities of home available to use. When we decided to cook meals, we were not wanting for anything. The cabin did get chilly overnight due to cooler temperatures, but there were plenty of extra blankets to cozy up with (and lots of games stacked in the corner of the living room if you wished to partake). During the day, the temps behaved themselves and we were able to take advantage of fresh air through the cabin with the windows and ceiling fan, which made it very comfortable. We spent every morning lounging on the chaises, enjoying our complimentary coffee. The cabin was neat, and tidy, with a hair dryer and towels provided in the bathroom.

The lake was a very quick jaunt down the road and we thoroughly enjoyed a long kayak each day (provided by the owner, as well as life jackets in the back of the house), as well as swimming in the lake with our Golden Retriever. The lake was fresh and clear although it was a bit mucky at the launch/dock point. If you get past that area, it clears up and is truly a beautiful lake. :-)

This weekend was a much needed refresh and a wonderful anniversary getaway. The cabin feels secluded enough that privacy is maintained and you can tell the obvious pride in ownership in the landscaping. The fire pit was a very nice touch and great in the evenings!

The cabin/lake is a bit secluded. There is a tiny general store (but it does have all the essentials) 5 minutes up the road, but the nearest town is about 20 min away. If you plan your stay with this in mind, it was no problem at all!

We would happily return due to the cabin being exactly what we needed, combined with Phil's hospitality. Thanks again!

Adorable!

This was a great place! Comfy and clean, plenty of room, quiet neighborhood with privacy.

We loved relaxing by the fire pit, and the fresh blueberries left for us.

Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Peaceful and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved our stay here! Had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. Local grocery store 15 mins away for the things we needed and never left the house again. S'mores by the fire and home cooked meals daily were enjoyed by all! this home had plenty of room for five of us, and our dog enjoyed the yard (so much so, she never wanted to be inside). Thank you for the goodie basket and sharing your home with us! I definitely found my happy place here.

A great get away for the whole family.

  • 4 of 5

Rustic and cozy. Had everything we needed. Quick walk to the lake which was beautiful and just the right size. It took about an hour and a half to paddle the perimeter without stopping. We also took a short 3 mile hike around the "Goshen Ocean" that was soooo lovely. Another close by trip was to the worlds longest covered bridge in Windsor the only a little further to Harpoon brewery and Silo distillery. All in all, a great vacation.

Cozy stay at the cottage

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the cottage over Veteran's Day Weekend with our dog and had the most pleasant stay. We were looking for weekend getaway and this was the perfect place to relax and have some quiet time. During our stay we hiked Mt. Sunapee, a 30 minute drive, and took walks down to Crescent Lake that is less than 5 minutes down the hill. It was great to have a well supplied kitchen to cook dinner in as the closest restaurant was a 15 minute drive and we didn't want to leave our dog alone. We would love to come back and visit during the warmer weather as we would love to kayak and swim in the lake and probably our dog as well. Thanks for the gift basket and being great hosts!

Cozy, peaceful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the cottage. It is a great peaceful getaway, with a great kitchen. Great place to relax and only 20 minutes from Wal-Mart and a bunch of other shops/amenities if you need anything. Beautiful lake--easy access, we enjoyed walking around but did not take the kayaks out because it was raining. Owner was very responsive via email and after our visit, he found my nephew's iphone charger and promptly mailed it back to him. Would love to return to the cottage in the future for a longer visit.
