About The Owner

I live in Milan working as an engineer in an international company but I prefer to describe myself as an "inventor" because i like the creativity part of my job.

I travel very often to Orvieto, my hometown, to visit my parents and friends and arrange trip and discovering groups and trekking expedition in the center of the Italy.

I am a person who explores the world and as an enthusiastic traveler I have always tried to find places that I like to call "the places that do not exist", the places that are at the limit of reality, representing a unique experience, which becomes a stone in the memory, stories to tell and knowledge to share.

Orvieto is piece of my heart and start of my travels and without doubt I can put under those titles.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 1977

Enchanting Expereince

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we looked into this property, Alessandro has been accommodating. He was quick to answer our questions and even gave suggestions as to where to eat and visit. Ale was the perfect host during our stay. He made arrangements for his father, Cesare to meet us and help make our way to the apartment. Cesare gave us a tour and took delight in our excitement over the residence. It is stunning! It is full of antiques and we were encouraged to explore. It was clean and comfortable and even larger than any photo can suggest. The location is perfect, right in the center of town. We were in the middle of everything yet it was quiet and private. When you stay here, you are among the locals so on Sunday, we smelled "Nonna's" tomato sauce wafting through the air. Alessandro had recommended a winery to visit and we made reservations but when we got to our car, we found we had a flat. Although we were able to change the tire, we would not be able to get to our next destination on the spare. When Cesare found out, he told us to follow him and took us to a Michelin service center. His friend worked there and fixed the tire for us. Cesare stayed with us until we were ready to get back on the road. This shows the wonderful people you are dealing with when you rent this property. I highly recommend this property and hope to return someday.I

Perfect in every way

  • 5 of 5

A taste of Italy lovingly maintained..large rooms..clean...location above Main Street was a kick for us from the religious celebration to the sound of excited children. The host and father were charming and attentive. We parked at the train station and drove out to easy. But Orvieto could easily have kept us a few days longer, maybe next time. I really can't say enough about this town and this apartment...truly perfect.

We (a group of friends) stayed at Palazzo Febei for a month this summer and every moment was magical. The apartment is just as described in the promo: large, spotlessly clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and centrally located. The furnishings show great respect for the age and history of the building while, at the same time, providing modern amenities (great WIFI, dishwasher, laundry facilites, aircon, computer with printer, etc.) that add to the comfort of the guests. The location in the city center was convenient to everything Orvieto has to offer and the nearby train station gave us access to more distant places. Everything we needed/wanted was no more than a few steps away.

Our hosts, Alessandro, and his father, Cesare, were amazing. They went WAY above and beyond to make sure we felt safe, comfortable, and welcome in their home. Several of our travel details did not go well and Ale and Cesare went seriously out of their way to help us so that what could have been travel disasters turned out to be "just more adventures." Any questions or concerns were answered in a few minutes. Service and hospitality beyond measure.

Orvieto is full of restaurants and every one we tried was wonderful. Conveniently, there is a pizza shop/restaurant and small grocery store beneath the apartment. Others are literally a few steps away - a 10 minute walk takes you past more than 15 restaurants, shops, a bookstore.

I hope to stay here again, and will definately recommend it to friends.

Orvieto is situated in the perfect spot to discover all of central Italy and move around easily.

Positioned in the middle of the Italian peninsula its connected to both the railway line Milan-Naples and the highway A1.

Just 1 hour from Rome and 1.30 from Florence by train.

Close to other famous towns like Assisi, Norcia, Spello and Perugia not forgetting those hidden gems like Civita di Bagnoregio, the old park of Bomarzo and, for those who love adventure, lost hermitages and abandoned cities and fortresses can be reached and discovered which makes Orvieto a great base for your stay.
