We enjoyed our stay immensely at the cottage on the farm in the Bluegrass state.
The website gave fantastic information and pictures - but the place was so stunning pictures could not do it justice. We probably were longer term renters than most on VRBO - as we were staying to recuperate from knee surgery.
The place is larger than one would expect for a one bedroom ( actually more like a 2 bedroom), lots of space indoors and outdoors. Michelle has thought of everything to make a short or longer stay pleasurable. The immediate surroundings are fantastic - a tree lined driveway leads you to the cottage surrounded by green rolling hills with lots of fantastically friendly exotic animals - gunner the camel becomes a pal immediately. There are too numerous to count short scenic drives surrounding the farm. But we enjoyed the immediate surroundings so much we rarely ventured over a few miles - however even though you seem "away from it all" - it is only a 5 minute drive to Lexington.
The Finks could not be better host - they will give you privacy - but we enjoyed chit chatting with them, always making sure we felt welcomed - even supplying us with home grown beef and garden treats.
Thanks to Michelle and Mike for a wonderful stay and hope to see you again in the future.

What a great place to stay before, during and after the birth of our first grandchild. The owners were very welcoming, and we were very comfortable with our surroundings. Truly enjoyed the exotic animals on the property!
We enjoyed our stay, nice to have a homey place to come back to at the end of the day. Exotic animals kept us company and were fun to watch. The owners were friendly and welcoming. We would stay again when in the area.
What a great and unique place to stay. My wife, our 2 year old and I stayed at this rental for a week and loved it! It was very updated and clean. Plenty of dishes for us to use and plenty of animals to see. Our 2 year old loved to see the Camel, Z-donk, and Ostrich. The rental is away from the road and down a long fenced drive with trees. The mornings are nice and peaceful and a jogging/bike path is just a mile away. This rental is like no other you will find. We would definitely try to stay here again if we are back in the area.
What a relaxing place to be! Just outside of Lexington KY and easy access to everything on our list, this place was simply a gem. A very nice place to stay; it is attached to one of the livestock barns, away from the main house. The place is so very well kept and so clean and the rooms are well appointed with every need. Additionally, there are so many lovable critters on this farm: buffalo, highland and Longhorn cattle, camel, zebra-mix, ostrich, yak, llama and others...
Our hosts were so welcoming and generous; we will surely be back again for our yearly trek to Lexington and horse country.
Everything was neat and clean and we loved spending time with all the various animals. We would definitely like to rent there again'. Terry and Renate Smith
This property was the perfect place to spend a long weekend with my wife and 3 year old son. The pictures on the website are great, but they really don't do it justice. The setting is so peaceful and relaxing that we spent most of our time just walking the grounds. Also, if you're a fan of animals you must check this place out (My son loved being greeted by Gunner the camel every time he walked out of the house).
The owners, Mike and Michelle are terrific people who were very accommodating. If we ever make a return trip to Lexington, this is where we'll be staying.
Property is located within close proximity to the Kentucky Horse Park (15 miles), Keeneland Race Course (16 miles) and within minutes of shopping/dining opportunities. Golf is possible at one of Lexington's finest private golf facilities, Greenbrier Golf and Country Club, located directly across the street. Must inquire in advance to confirm availability.
