Horse Cove Manner is truly a destination, but if you must venture out- Main Street Highlands is about 4 winding miles away. If you’re headed to Cashiers, you go the opposite direction for about 10 miles. (Of course, on the way- you can stop at Sliding Rock, Garnet City, Secret Falls, The Iron Bridge, and Ellicott Rock – none of these attractions are well known, and if you blink- you may miss them-but they’re all worth seeing)
While in scenic Horse Cove, you can see one of the widest trees in our area, and between Memorial Day and Labor Day, you can visit the Little Church in the Wildwood for old fashioned hymn sings.
You may see occasional visitors such as black bear, deer, fox, rabbits, turkey and many other birds of all sizes - so make sure you bring your camera! (Always respect the natural habitat of our forest friends- never approach bears or feed them)
