** The space:

Fully and tastefully furnished this 680 sq ft - 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom bungalow located in the heart of Burbank. The home has a vibrant, eclectic vibe and is very comfortable and private. Excellent central location to set up a base camp to discover all that the Los Angeles metropolitan area has to offer! The neighborhood is quiet, laid back and very safe with easy access to all the amenities. Perfect for business travelers, families, and adventurous guests looking to explore the area.

The bungalow is able to comfortably accommodate up to a maximum of 4 people.

Each bedroom has a comfortable double size bed for a good night’s rest and a dresser.

Bedrooms are outfitted with clean sheets, comforters, extra bedding in closets, each bed has 4 pillows. Bathrooms are equipped with towels, Shampoo, Conditioner, body wash, kleenex, and TP.

**Please note that bathroom is accessed through the back bedroom**

This beautifully furnished space has hardwood floors and comes with many amenities to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. The living area has a comfortable couch to curl up in and watch Netflix on the Roku player and flat screen television. There is also a selection of DVDs for your entertainment. Or if you need to work, there is a working space and access to high-speed wifi internet. Very importantly, there is central heating & air conditioning to keep cool during the hot summer days and warm during those few cool nights in Southern California.

The kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking pleasure. You will have pots, pans, cooking utensils, coffee maker, Toaster oven, microwave, dishware, silverware, and basic cooking amenities (oils, condiments & spices) available for your use during your stay. You can enjoy your morning coffee and paper in the cozy breakfast nook overlooking the backyard.

A big bonus- unlike most popular neighborhoods in Los Angeles, there is ample street parking available! However, if you don't have a car- that's okay! The bungalow is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley. Walking distance to incredible coffee shops, bakeries, (Porto's bakery), grocery stores (one right across the street), multiple trendy restaurants & bars, boutique shopping, nail salons, banks, a 24-hour dry cleaner- pretty much anything and everything you could want. There are also public transit options very close by.

Warner Brothers studios are right across the street and Universal Studios is extremely close (both great attractions for the movie and TV buffs visiting LA), as well as NBC, ABC, and Disney Studios for guests who may be in town working. Burbank is also a well-known equestrian area and if you visit local parks you can see horses riding by. Toluca Lake is five minutes away, a great spot to eat out and maybe even spot a few celebrities.

** Guest Access:

Make yourself at home during your stay at the bungalow. This space is part of a triplex property- with the back yard shared with the neighbors. Please be considerate and respectful towards the neighbors. If you have any questions during your stay, do not hesitate to contact me.

** Interaction with Guests:

I do not live on site, there is a lock box for self-check in and your convenience if you arrive late or leave early. I I am easily reached by phone, text, and email for anything you may need.

** The Neighborhood:

The neighborhood is very safe and quiet area of Burbank with picturesque tree lined streets and green parks. Close to walking/bike trail (The Chandler Bike Path). Amazing hikes in Griffith Park, Fryman Canyon, Tree People and Runyon Canyon are minutes away.

Just a short drive away you can find yourself in Downtown Los Angeles or in Beverly Hills. With a 30 minute drive, you can be in Santa Monica and the pier- or out in Malibu to catch the surf and an incredible sunset on the beach.

** Getting Around

Burbank Bob Hope airport is less than ten minutes away by car. There is also public transit (Bus line 222) just down the block that takes you straight to the airport. All the major freeways are easily accessible and public transit options (Universal City Red Line Metro Rail and buses) are conveniently close. Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles is approximately 13 miles away.

There are also bicycles available to rent if you prefer to ride.

** Other Things to Note

The home is part of a triplex unit. The unit shares only 3/4 of one wall with the other unit, the rest of the place is completely separated.

NOTE: As California is experiencing an extreme drought, please be conscientious of your water consumption during your stay.

** House rules:

Absolutely no smoking of any kind (Cigarettes, e-cigs, hookah or vapes) NO drugs of any kind on the premises. Guests should be respectful of the house and the resources and practice good stewardship. No parties extra guests and please no pets.

We kindly request that no shoes be worn inside to help keep the space clean. This is a quiet, family neighborhood- be considerate to the neighbors.

** Maximum Guests:

4 persons regardless of age.

We do not allow guests to sleep in sofas

Violation of this rule will incur extra charges.

this beautiful 1930's bungalow has lots of charm and it is fully stocked for families as well for business travelers. You will feel at home with its fully stocked kitchenette.... the back yard is a nice feature with a small table and lots of nice details to enjoy. during its fruit season, you can enjoy oranges and lemons that are in front of the property.

Cozy bungalow in Burbank.

Nice space for a nice price.

First the delta's: It is small (smaller than what I anticipated based on the images) and somewhat dark. Also, the entire space could use a spruce up with fresh paint, etc.

Onto the Alpha's: lots of amenities, like a communal backyard space and huge strip mall across the street with a great bagel spot and huge grocery store. Internet and TV with a very nice selection of DVD's to choose from. Bathroom was clean and great water pressure. Parking is on street but there was always space available.

Hosts communicated well and all the info needed for a successful trip were provided.

Fantastic location.

This was a fantastic place to stay! Although it's small, it fit our family of 4 fantastic. A huge plus for us was the parking in the back. We parked and took lyfts. Never had to worry about our truck. There is a grocery store, a cvs, and a frozen yogurt place across the street. I would recommend staying here.

Convenient and Comfortable

This charming, historic bungalow is in a good neighborhood and is very convenient to Bob Hope Burbank airport. Anything you might need or want is in walking distance which is a big plus. We stayed here on Easter weekend to visit family prior to embarking on the rest of our SoCal vacation. The real bonus is having Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu on the TV so you can kick back at the end of the day and watch your favorite shows and movies. Thanks Mayra and Mario! Wonderful, cozy home away from home.

My daughter and I stayed in Mario's bungalow, and we could not not have have been more pleased. We felt at home right away, and Mario was extremely quick to respond to any of our questions.

The place was immaculate, we were within walking distance of fun places to eat., The best frozen yogurt shop, Menchies, was literally right outside our front door!

I didn't even have to worry about parking as there was a designated space right behind the shared garden. The neighbor, by the way, is very friendly and has an awesome dog.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay at the bungalow again. We were very sorry to leave.

Beware

We rented this property for nearly a month – 26 days. We had rented numerous properties thru VRBO in the past and selected this “bungalow” based on the description, photos, and previous reviews in the VRBO listing. However, once we saw the property we were so disappointed we stayed only one night and moved into a hotel for a few days until we could find another place to stay.

The description lists the property as “chic, comfortable, bright, peaceful, and as having a vibrant, eclectic vibe”. We felt no such vibe. We found the property to be small, old, and worn. Clever photography makes the place look much better than it actually is. The living room was so dimly lit, we went out and purchased a light to brighten up the place for the one night we were there. The door to the 2nd bedroom cannot be closed - the bed is in the way. The closet for the master bedroom is actually in the bathroom along with mops, vacuum cleaner, broom, cleaning supplies, someone's shoes, and hanging clothes. The shelf in the closet for the 2nd bedroom had some of the owner's stuff on it. Several drawers in each dresser included the owner’s clothes and other articles. The medicine cabinet in the bathroom was full of the owner’s things. When we questioned the owner about this, the response was “there’s plenty of space for your things”.

We requested a refund thru VRBO but received little support. We were told that they forwarded the complaint and refund request to the owner. However, the owner failed to respond. According to VRBO, they do not mediate disputes between the renter and owner. Their suggestion was to write a review.

To address the complaints lined out in the review: - There is ample space in the closets with hangers and in the bedroom dressers. - The bathroom closet has cleaning supplies- which can be easily moved. Cleaning supplies are available for the guests' use- which is necessary for longer stays. - Both bedrooms doors can be easily closed. The beds are not obstructing any entrances. - The medicine cabinet in the bathroom has toiletries / first aid kit / medicine for the guests' use. - The living room has ample lighting - a lamp, wall sconce, and a ceiling light. On the day of this particular guests' arrival- the weather was overcast and gray, therefore not providing much in the way of natural light. It was with great regret we were unable to accommodate this guest. Our next door neighbor has a medium size dog, she is kept inside the majority of the time and the owner is informed when guests are arriving so he can keep (Kamie) inside. She is playful and extremely sweet, so he will introduce himself and Kamie once you have settled in.
