Located in the premier Bahia del Mar section of Isla del Sol, this first floor corner villa with the Master Bedroom on the waterside--a rarity among villas throughout Isla -- offers peaceful views of Boca Ciega Bay. You won't feel claustrophobic here either, as there is an additional window looking out to a garden view from the dining room. The comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit was almost completely renovated between 2010 and 2011 and meticulously maintained since then. Travertine tile flows throughout the entire unit, upgraded granite tops lend appeal in both kitchen and baths, and the kitchen appliances and cabinetry enhance the smartly designed space. Along with the kitchen, both baths were completely renovated in June 2010.

Most of the furniture, bedding, and fixtures were selected by a professional designer. The master bedroom includes a top of the line king bed, a high-end TV/clothing armoire, and professionally faux-finished bedside tables with ample drawer storage. The master bath has a tiled, walk in shower and upgraded sliding doors. There is also a walk-in closet.

The living room features an extremely comfortable sectional, round leather ottoman with storage, and a TV/DVD console. The dining room table offers 4 chairs, with the availability of seating for 5 or 6 by pulling in benches or chairs from other rooms.

The guest room offers a queen murphy bed (which can be folded up, but the owners keep it open and use this room as a bedroom). There is a super-comfy mattress, the closet is very spacious, and the built-in desk/bureau has great drawer space. The guest bath has a tiled tub/shower combination.

On the screened lanai there is a cushioned love seat and matching coffee table. Two woven chairs flank a small table suitable for dining.

All cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, etc., were purchased when the renovation was completed. There is a 46” Samsung TV purchased in 2014 in the living room, a DVD player, plus a 35” TV in the master bedroom armoire. There is also wireless internet. A stackable, front load washer/dryer is located within the condo for your convenience, or utilize the laundry room in the adjacent building to do a couple loads of laundry at one time.

The waterfront pool offers a hot tub, outside shower, and changing/rest rooms. There is also an exercise room available for your use, but the owners prefer to walk the property or go to local gyms.

Just another short drive away is the famous Ft. DeSoto Park, and in the other direction is St. Pete Beach. 15 - 20 minutes east is the cosmopolitan atmosphere of St. Petersburg’s downtown, offering wonderful restaurants and inviting museums. Tampa International Airport is about a 30 minute drive---if you avoid rush hour traffic.

The owners are seeking tenants who will treat this as their own and who will hopefully return year after year!

Why Karin Vera chose Isla del Sol

As a licensed real estate agent in Florida since 1987, I frequently toured and sold units in Isla del Sol. I was amazed at the beautiful, tropical landscaping that was so well maintained, particularly in the Bahia del Mar section (which is where this unit is located). The accessibility factor is wonderful as well, with St. Pete Beach just a couple minute drive in one direction, and the rest of Tampa Bay in the other direction.

What makes this condo unique

I absolutely love all the renovations that were done to this unit, and the peaceful, neutral colors. Parking right in front of the door is great, as is the private entry....most condos have entry doors that are right next to the neighbors, but not this one! I only wanted a corner unit, and this has an extra window on the side that overlooks a park-like setting and allows for more interior light. From almost every room, you can see right out to the water. I've even spotted dolphins from the lanai. The local birds are beautiful, too, and I have even seen wood storks. That is a rare sighting.

A friend and I took the short walk to the waterfront pool a little earlier in the morning than usual, and spotted dolphins, sting rays, pelicans, terns, etc.

We love to jump in the car and have a meal at one of the local, beach restaurants. Alternately, we go to downtown St. Pete and enjoy a walk through the Dali or the Fine Arts Museum and dine at one of the Beach Drive cafes.

Every morning, folks are walking around the island for exercise or to enjoy the lush landscaping. This really is a peaceful place.

The property is managed by a local agent who has many years of experience in this area of real estate. His office is very convenient to the property, and he also lives on the island. He handles the association approvals for the rental agreement as well as their required background checks (paid by renter -- charges vary by renters' country of residence). If there are any issues, he is easily contacted.

If reserved well in advance, Renters pay the property manager a $500.00 deposit to hold the rental and an additional amount for the association required background check. The $500 deposit will convert to the security deposit when the balance of the rental fee is paid by the dates indicated on the agreement. If the rental is booked close to the occupancy date, the entire amount will be due.
