Tranquility in the Mountains

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Bear View Cove from Jan. 21st thru Jan. 26th. Our goal was to escape the craziness of the tourist town we live in all year long and find some peace and quiet. This quaint cabin far exceeded our expectations. Getting used to the A frame style in the master bedroom and little bathroom upstairs was a little challenging, but by the second night, we no longer bumped into the wall. The cabin is clean and fully stocked for that home away from home experience. I was a bit bummed about only finding a half an ounce of laundry detergent, but then again, who really wants to do laundry on vacation. Everyday we bundled up and had our morning coffee outside rocking away on the front porch listening to the critters rustling thru the property and the birds chirping away in the trees. The cabin is centrally located so we were able to take a day trip into North Carolina and on other days we visited the lovely city of Blairsville. The owner left a book with suggested hiking trails and points of interest to visit, complete with fantastic directions. Heron Falls is incredible and a must see. And who wouldn't love coming back and jumping into the hot tub after a full day of driving and siteseeing? Thank you Seth, your cabin is delightful and we had a fantastic time!

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was well maintained and comfortable. It was very cold in GA when we arrived but the heat was cranking when we got there so it was a pleasant surprise. Upstairs gets warmer at night so we slept very well even though it was single digits. There were plenty of pots/pans/plates/utensils when we arrived so we were very happy about that. We enjoyed our stay!

Classic A-Frame cabin, private but close to everything we need

  • 5 of 5

Thank You, Seth. The cabin was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The Christmas tree and basket were a nice touch and enhanced the holiday spirit we went there to capture. The cabin was isolated enough so that Boost mobile couldn't reach us but close enough to everything we needed to get to. Absolutely great! The only thing that might need a little touch is the outside lighting; the site is very dark and we had to use a lantern to use the Jacuzzi at night, front and back porch lights worked. Heat worked great, very comfortable, bed was wonderful, wanted to bring the pillows home, lol. We would happily stay there again. Thank you again for your hospitality. Ron and Linda Barnes

Cabin was updated and nicely decorated. Very cozy

We loved the cabin and it was a great location. Secluded, but still an easy ride to the main road. Cabin was well-appointed and clean; Nice long drive way which was great for walking our dogs. Beautiful views from the front porch. They had a good time too!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We needed a little R&R after moving out of our house (while waiting to move to our new place). Tired and worn out, we found this cabin to be the perfect respite. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful! The cabin was comfortable; king bed was the best I've slept in a long time! Loved the hot tub (can see so many stars at night!). Went fishing at nearby Lake Nottley—didn't catch any but it is gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again.
