Elisabeth and I have been sailing the Caribbean and the Bahamas for over 25 years. We often anchored at Great Guana Cay and when the time came to come ahsore we were not in doubt where we wanted to be. We feel lucky to be retired and able to spend most of the winter here. Summers are spent on Shelter Island, NY with the kids and grandkids.
Robert Heimann purchased this cottage in 2008

From beginning to end our stay was amazing! Thank you Gina for all of your assistance and we cannot wait until our next visit!
There were 6 adults and 3 children and very comfortable for everyone. The dock was great for our 40 ft sport fish and 26 ft rental Dusky. Kayaks were fun and swimming is great in clear warm water. We all would love to go back. Gina the caretaker and her husband were very helpful and super nice. The outside deck is just fantastic and you will spend a lot of time sitting outside and enjoying the views.
House was well appointed and the kitchen well stocked with anything someone who enjoys cooking could need. The deck is where we spend most of the time, when at the house, and it provided a great view point to watch the boats and storms roll by. Gina the home caretaker was very attentive and really made it a point to make us comfortable and assist with anything we needed. The only regret I have was I wish we could of stayed longer!
We returned from Guana Cay earlier this month, and if I'm not mistaken our 5th time renting Temara house. This property is so well appointed you just don't want to ever leave. From the owners, property caretakers, views, accomodations, location, did I say views this place is amazing. If you want a guaranteed amazing stay for the first time in the out islands rent this house, you will be glad you did.
Temara met my every expectation and much, much more! The house was well stocked with every comfort of home. Temara was very clean and in great condition. The pictures don't do it justice. My family of six fit very comfortably in Temara. The dock was wonderful. Snorkeling and swimming right off the dock is priceless. We rented a boat and had an amazing time snorkeling, especially at Fowl Cay, hopping from Cay to Cay for great food and drink and finding amazing beaches as well as hanging out in the flats. Honestly the best vacation I've ever had. We can't wait to come back.
Without reservation TEMERA was one of the best vacations that we have been on. From establishing the reservations with the owners until our sad day of departing Great Guana Cay everyone involved in the process was without question extremely helpful and it turned out to be more than we expected. Gina and Ronald (caretakers) exceeded every expectation and are to be commended for their exceptional customer service. TEMERA was everything and more than we expected from having all the necessary household amenities right down to the free use of the new kayaks. As always, the people of Great Guana Cay have been very gracious host to a group travelers making all of us feel at home. Troy (Dive Guana) took us on the snorkeling trip of a life time at Fowl Cay providing exceptional service to all snorkelers regardless of you level of experience. From the snorkeling trip at Fowl Cay, to the Island Hopping in Elbow Cay and Man O War Cay, to the cleaning of the Conch he went over the top. Without question we will return again.
