About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Full Baths, (Sleeps 6. Maximum number of Guests is 6)

Enjoy a Quiet Beach Retreat in North Eastern Michigan.

Lake Huron Beach House is located 5 Miles North of Harrisville, and just North of the Sturgeon Point Lighthouse. Pristine sand beach and water clarity. No Rocks! The Huron Beach House is a contemporary styled saltbox nestled in the trees and natural surroundings offering a private setting and many great views of the lake.

* Please note that due to increasingly high water, beach walks are more difficult on Lake Huron. We wear shoes to stay on the beach, or swimsuits to wade around obstacles.

The master bedroom on the main floor, with TV, has a patio door view of the lake and an adjacent full bath. 2 bedrooms on the upper level with 3/4 bath between include 1 queen size bed on the lakeside with a wonderful view of the lake and the other bedroom has two extra long twin beds which can be combined to make one king bed. Fully equipped kitchen includes range, fridge, built-in dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and other small appliances. Washer & dryer are also available.

The open living room and dining room has gas fireplace, vaulted ceiling and more lake views. Flat screen TV with DISH Network and Internet. Large deck on the lakeside and winding boardwalk to the beach.

Beach area has lounge chairs, fire pit, picnic table with umbrella, hammock, child's swing and two kayaks for your use. Altogether, a touch of paradise.

Peaceful Retreat Location.

We had a quiet, peaceful, incredible time of relaxation and just plain chillin'. It was just what we needed to be re-energized. Everything we needed was there making the stay one stop...no need for running. Would recommend this for anyone seeking a retreat setting.

A Cherished Paradise

This place is truly a hidden treasure! Few places are left in the world where one can find quiet and mostly empty stretches of a sandy shore. Tucked into the trees, this cottage provides privacy, yet with an upfront view of the ever-changing lake. We loved listening to the waves crashing on the shore every night and watching the sun rise each morning without even getting out of bed! We enjoyed both bike riding via road as well as beach walking the easy 2 mile stretch the historic Sturgeon Point Lighthouse. Tennis courts a few miles into town, song singing at the campfire under the full moon, body surfing the waves that came up one windy day, and most of all, enjoying a quiet paradise on the shore of a beautiful fresh water sea. The cottage itself was a delight, very well maintained and a very comfortable atmosphere to spend inside when tired of the beach. Wouldn't mind a cozy fall or spring time stay either, with the indoor fireplace and sky lights, it sure makes a great place for the variety of weather that Michigan has to offer! Though there was no internet, it was a good reminder to spend quality time together and less on Facebook or e-mail!! This will always be a cherished place in our memory, and we hope to return frequently in the future.

Best weekend Ever at the Beach House

Very cute, and clean home. The outside deck and walkway were so nice and of course "Lake Huron" in the backyard was amazing.

Had a wonderful time at your family vacation home. The accommodations were great and your beach area was beautifully maintained and well equipped for relaxing and engaging the sand and water. You have a nice balance between the serenity of the woods and fun of the beach.

Dined at the Courtyard in Alpena and would highly recommend it. They were very accommodating and made great efforts to please the appetites of our little ones. Thanks for sharing your home with us and we hope we can return again next year! Lorinc Family

About Huron Beach House

We are an artistic family, sharing some of our art with you.

What makes this house unique

Great section of sandy beach.

The Beach House is cozily tucked into the trees, allowing for privacy and quiet; while the beach is just little walk down the boardwalk.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The location is very private which lends itself to a very relaxing time away from home.

Doesn't get any better!

Lovely home, wonderful beach, great star gazing around the fire pit. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything one needs for cooking. We loved having the kayaks to visit nearby friends. Will definitely try to book again.

Beautiful sunrises

  • 5 of 5

Huron Beach House is wonderful inside and out. The inside was clean, nicely updated and had many extra little touches that made our stay special The owner has thought of everything you might need. The outside was beautiful, the water looked like the Caribbean. The sunrises were worth getting up extra early for. Outside we enjoyed kayaking, fishing, tubing, walks on the beach, and laying in the hammock. At night the fire pit was most enjoyable. Our vacation was a pure Michigan experience.

Bright Airy House with Pristine Beach Access

  • 5 of 5

Great place to get away from it all and enjoy the pristine beach on the shore of Lake Huron. The house is located off a wooded lane with a charming boardwalk path to the beach. The fire pit is a great place for evening camp fires and roasting s’mores. The house is bright and open and decorated in an eclectic style with lots of local photography, and other treasures. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for Memorial Day weekend. We've rented homes on the water in other areas, but this was by far the best. The view of the lake is amazing, the house was clean and comfortable, and the area was quiet and serene. Definitely will consider renting again next summer.

Everything we had desired and more

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Huron Beach House. It is tastefully artistic while also very comfortable and conveniently arranged for guests. It was the perfect choice for a 'restorative' long weekend. The property is a well maintained combination of wooded seclusion and beach access. Every aspect of the experience was pleasant and professionally conducted. We plan to return in the future and would highly recommend it to our friends and relatives.
