A wonderful getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 really enjoyed staying at this condo. It was clean and enough space and plenty of amenities for everything we needed. The balcony view was gorgeous, I enjoyed watching manatees splash in the water. Great location, near John's Pass, we actually walked to John's Pass from the beach across the street with kids. Overall a very pleasant experience, we would stay here again.

401 Skyline

  • 5 of 5

We were very well pleased with our condo for the week. The process was easy and the it was more that we expected. We opened the door and there was a fresh smell and the place was very clean. Had a couple of small issues and called maintenance, they were very fast to respond and take care of the issue. We would definitely stay here the next time we are in the area. A great location too.

You get what you pay for

  • 2 of 5

This condo in our opinion was “You get what you pay for” type place. If you’re looking for a budget friendly condo to stay, then this is your place. But if you’re looking for a high end, glamorous condo then you might what to keep looking.

Our stay was a weeklong in early June. The condo is close to the beach with a balcony view of a quiet intercostal neighborhood. The walkway on the fourth floor from the elevator to the front door and even the guest bedroom have interrupted/partial views of the beach. It’s not a busy area so finding a spot on the beach is fairly easy. There is a coffee shop down stairs that serves light breakfast and light lunches. Also a nice ice-cream stand less than a block away. There is a small but nice pool that was never busy and the area was generally quit minus traffic noise. The unit is slightly small but manageable for a family of four. Johns Passing is just under a mile away and a 7-elevin just three blocks away.

We arrived at the condo late Wednesday evening and upon arrival had the sense that the unit was not cleaned thoroughly prior to our arrival. Several hairs where found in bathrooms and even stuck to the fridge door. Toilets were found dirty as well. As we woke the next morning to make breakfast, we came across several dirty dishes with dried food on them and even a pan in the oven with a burnt molding pork chop in it. After finding that we called itrip maintenance hotline number that was posted on the fridge door. The area manager pickup and was at our condo within 15 min. He seemed furious and embarrassed at the same time. He took some pictures and had the cleaning company manager and a very nice and polite cleaning lady at skyline 401 within the hour. He also brought us up a brand new pan almost immediately.

Besides the cleaning incident the condo is ok at best. It could us some updates or even a good hard cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. There are several light bulbs burnt out or just plain missing. The bed skirt in the master bedroom is torn in a few spots and both showers have absolutely no water pressure (maintenance is aware of this). The balcony table and chairs are dry rotting and need replaced very soon in my opinion.

----The photos that are posted in the description are inaccurate and I am guessing a few years old.----

Like I said before, if you’re on a budget and would like a place just across the street from the beach and don’t mind a condo that could use a refreshing then this is your place.

(I don’t believe the issues we had with cleanliness in this condo was in anyway shape or form the way itrip runs there condos. I believe this was an isolated incident that we had just came across. The response time from itrip.net was excellent and we felt our satisfaction was priority)

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

The condo was very clean and everything was beautifully decorated. The view was awesome and better than expected from the Airbnb pictures. Only issue was a loud dryer and something plastic cooked onto a piece of cookware.

Girls Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Great spot for beachin' it. Condo was perfect for us 3. Clean, nice kitchen, dining table and tv area was fine, small balcony to sit on and looks out over the marina. There is a lack of towel racks or hooks in the smaller bathroom. Needs a mirror in the small bedroom. About 25 minutes from all the museums and shopping in St Pete. Those are things we had to come up with...just not anything bad to say about the condo. Would go back.
