We're close to everything, but on a private wooded lot with public road frontage. We have a total of 3 bedrooms plus an upstairs sleeping den with a set of bunk beds. Two bedrooms are located upstairs--one with a king log canopy bed, the other with a queen and a full sized crib. The downstairs bedroom is a queen. All mattresses (except twin beds) are memory foam. We have room for eight plus baby. There are 2 full bathrooms: One with tub/shower; the other with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Both are accessible without going through a bedroom.
The huge kitchen is the heart of the home with a great room. Banks of windows let the light stream in. The kitchen is equipped with double wall ovens, ceramic cooktop, double door refrigerator with ice and water, and tons of granite counter space. Eat at the huge central island, or the kitchen table, or in the large dining room, or on the screened porch...
Relax in front of the gas fireplace in the overstuffed leather reclining sofas as you watch the 52" flat screen TV w/ cable and Blue Ray DVD. Bring your computers and mobile devices. We have Wi Fi throughout the house. Summers are generally cool, but we have air-conditioning when needed.
We have lots of off street parking and a carport with room for cars, boats, etc.
The wooded lot is private with an outdoor fire pit for family evenings and a swing set for little ones. There is a seasonal babbling brook at the bottom of the sloped backyard. Kids love to explore it.
Special Note: Our office/ workshop is located in the basement of this home. We use it to run the family business. The basement has private entrances in the rear of the home. Our office and shop are not used daily. When in use, it is 8 am- 5 pm and rarely used on weekends. Our office / shop does not have any public foot traffic. Occasionally, we will have a client with us. We do our best to make appointments with clients when the house is not rented. Your enjoyment of the property is always our priority.If you've been to lake George, then you probably know what a year-round playground it is. If you haven't here are some fun things to do:

We are avid travelers--RVers and motorcyclists. We run the motorcycle safety program at our local college--a great way to spend a weekend, by the way! While you enjoy your home, we are at a local RV park, always available to help when needed.

A log home has always been our dream. We built this one in 2001 with our own four hands. Marc has been a general contractor so our home has a lot of beautiful touches in it. The floor plan is meant for family living and you'll find it comfortable and convenient. We've enjoyed sharing our home with many of our friends, and now we want to offer it to you for a special family vacation.
Eight members of our family enjoyed a stay at "Bear Lodge" in mid August. The house was very clean and well-equipped. We particularly enjoyed the large kitchen/dining/family room area. Location was excellent, with the lake and town within walking distance. (But, we usually drove.) The small beach at Usher Park was most convenient and comes with free parking. Owners were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. We would return.
This property is beautiful and meticulously maintained. Our family enjoyed our first vacation with the baby here and we hope to visit again in the future. Everything is close if needed, but it's quiet if you want to feel "off the grid".
Right from the start the Connelly's house was a great choice for us and our family. We stayed at their house in Lake George with our two young children and my parents. The house provided plenty of room for all of us. The Connellys met us upon our arrival. They were friendly and very accommodating. They gave us a tour of the house and spoke to us about upcoming events and things to do around Lake George. They even called us on a rainy day to give us ideas to what to do with our children. Very kind of them! The house itself was clean and neat. It had everything we needed for cooking, cleaning and even toys for our kids to play with. They had a washer and drier that we were free to use. At the end of our stay the Connelly's used a cleaning service that cleaned the house and washed the linens. There was a covered car port and plenty of room for other cars to park. There was a fire pit for our late night smores making and a swing/slide set in the yard for our kids. The house was very close to Lake George. It was a less than a 5 minute ride to Million Dollar Beach and the town of Lake George with all its restaurants, entertainment and fun! When we decide to return to Lake George we will definitely be staying at the Connelly's house again and recommend it to anyone looking for a house in Lake George!
This was a great house! Marc and Margie are really wonderful hosts. The house was very clean and had everything we could need for our families and 1 year old baby. It was very convenient that there was a crib and high chair and some toys at the house. The house is located a few minutes away from Lake George Village and Million Dollar Beach.The house is so pretty and the open floor plan makes for great family time. Highly recommend this property!
Grandparents, parents and 4 boys, ages 12, 11, 10 & 8, spent a week at this property. Location was perfect, safe, and the home fit our needs perfectly. Very open living, eating and relaxing space and sleeping accommodations were perfect. We would have preferred another set of twin beds in the second upstairs bedroom (instead of the queen), but we adapted and everyone was happy. Outdoor space was great for kids while we prepared meals and location was close to everything. It was really nice to have access to the washer and dryer. Home was clean and well-maintained and owners were available immediately via phone & email at all times. Wonderful rental !
We just spent a wonderful week at the Bear Lodge. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous and really clean. It sleeps eight people comfortably and the open plan provides ample living space. Margie and Marc were excellent hosts and even provided cereal, creamer etc, for our first night - Thank you! The location itself is very close to Lake George and is near all the attractions. I would highly recommend this property!

Welcome to our home! We encourage extended families to come enjoy our home and the beautiful Adirondacks. Our home is located 1 1/2 mile to several beaches on the lake. We are in a quiet cul de sac away from the lively Lake George village. Our wooded lot backs up to a quiet stream. There is ample parking for multiple cars or a boat/trailer. There is a public boat launch at Million Dollar Beach less than two miles away. Lake George is a pristine lake with great fishing, boating, water skiing, canoeing, etc. We are close to many hiking trails, an extensive bike trail network, and is located in the Six million acre Adirondack park.
About our home: We do not permit smoking in our home. There is a screened porch off the kitchen should you want to smoke. We do not allow pets unless special arrangements are made and an additional security deposit is charged. You are renting the main and upper floor of this stunning cape cod log home. We run a seasonal business from our basement entrance of our home. During the week, we occasionally will be using the space for office work or a client may come in. Your privacy and enjoyment of our place is of utmost importance. We ask that you park in the carport or to the left of the main driveway leaving the drive around to the basement entrance clear.
