The Cottage is located on 3 private acres which is mainly wooded right across the street from the lake!! There are 3 bedrooms, one of which is a loft, sleeps 5-6 guests and 1 bathroom. There are 1 queen, 1 full and two twin beds in the loft. The Cottage has a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. The kitchen and dining room is equipped to serve up to 6 guests. There is a fire place, three decks and plenty of outdoor space. The whole cottage has been updated and the cedar wood floors just refinished. A very unique floor to say the least, please see the pictures!! There is a gas grill and picnic table on the back porch. The two front porches have seating areas. Transient boat slips are available right across the street at Light House Mariana as well as rentals for every kind of water sport. There is a public beach a short drive north on Rt 507. I have two kayaks that I am willing to rent for the week if desired. Guest can carry them across the street and set them in the lake.

We had a great time here, but missed some ammenities
The owner was friendly and easy to get hold of. He answered most of our questions and did so promptly. The cabin lacked some basic cooking utensils, such as a blender and whisk, so if you plan to cook anything more than burgers (the grill is fantastic). bring your own cookware. Additionally, the mattresses were loud and uncomfortable, so light sleepers beware. Otherwise, would certainly recommend as a short stay away from home.
Owner was helpful, nice and quick in responding. Property was pleasant and quiet
Had a great time in this rental. Owner was very nice and the house was very clean when we got there. Property was peaceful and woods in the back for a nice view. Location was great with a marina right across the street if you want to rent a boat etc. The lake being walking distance away is very convienant. Deer coming everyday around the property was cool and gave it the country feeling you wanted. The lake was very nice with plenty of area for activities and is a good fishing lake as well. I would recommend staying here!
We loved it.
Very enjoyable stay… Very clean cabin and any issues that we had the owner took care of immediately.
Perfect Poconos Getaway!!!
The Pack House was amazing!!! It is a super darling cabin nestled in the woods with a lake view...doesn’t get much better than that!! We’re originally from Chicago and used to vacation in Wisconsin so this felt like being home in the Northwoods!! The cabin was clean and super comfortable!! Thank you Brian for your attentiveness, hospitality and restaurant recommendations! We pretty much felt like regulars at Overboards and met the nicest people!! I can’t say enough, the Pack House was perfect and we will be back!!!
Very nice, Warm and clean!
We loved being in the woods and watching the deer in the morning! The cottage was very clean! It was a very warm welcome after a cold trip on snowy roads! Brian was very responsive any time we reached out to him. Such a beautiful area to stay!
Great weekend getaway
I rented this for a winter weekend for a reunion with my best friends. The cabin is beautiful, and very cozy for a family or a small group. A few essentials were missing (matches for the fireplace, hand soap in the bathroom, napkins/paper towels), which we were surprised by given how well equipped the cabin was. Luckily, a Dollar General 5 minutes away solved those issues. Brian was a very accommodating host, quick to respond, and he prepped the cabin for our arrival. I'd happily stay there again during my next visit to the Poconos!
Lake Wallenpaupack is a center of recreation for the surrounding communities, providing boating, swimming, and fishing access in the summertime, as well as ice skating and ice fishing in the winter. Its wooded shoreline also provides opportunities for hiking and viewing wildlife. Lake fish include smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, bluegill, walleye, muskellunge, northern pike, pickerel, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, catfish and yellow perch. Striped bass and hybrid striped bass have been stocked in the lake. The lake is 13 miles (21 km) long, has 52 miles (84 km) of shoreline, and is about 60 feet (18 m) deep at its maximum depth. Guests can rent boats paddle boards and jet skis or go parasailing right across the street at Light House Marina. I have two kayaks available for weekly rental to guests. The Lake is right across the street about 200 ft from the property.
