Nice rustic cabin in the woods

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, the cabin had everything we needed and we loved watching the deer every morning. Brian was very accommodating. A nice area, highly recommended.

Relaxing, quiet, and enjoyable!!!!

  • 4 of 5

My family of 5 stayed here for a week. We wanted a family get away that was relaxing and "easy" especially having two children under 3 years of age. This house was the perfect forest retreat. It lays elevated in the middle of the woods. We should have done more research regarding the lake. It was about like Brian said, but was a private marina, and you weren't able to go in the water unless if you had or rented some sort of boat, jet ski and or some sort of water sport. The public beach is about 5 miles north down Rt. 507. The owner Brian couldn't be anymore accommodating and attentive. He gave me his personal cell number and told me to text him anytime I needed anything. He was honest about how far the marina was and where to find the public beach. He never lied about the distance it was. I would recommend this for a family who has older children and has some sort of water vessel, otherwise it can be a little boring sitting in the house. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future!!!

Nice Family Get-away :)

  • 5 of 5

We spent a relaxing week at Brian's cozy, peaceful cabin. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the morning, sipping my coffee, watching the deer walk around - while my husband & son took advantage of the kayaks & went fishing in the lake. Brian was very attentive & checked on us to make sure we had what we needed during our stay. Would definitely stay here again :)

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay despite the incessant rain for the first few days. A wheelbarrow of wood was provided for our campfires.

Perfect long weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend staying here! There was 3 couples and we had plenty of space, having a grill and fire pit was ideal! There is plenty of space in the cottage for 6 adults to eat, sleep , and have a great time. The cottage would also work well for families, with the loft being a great space for children. And everything was clean and nicely kept.

Great location with the marinara and access to the lake right across the street. Close to other marinas, restaurants, and bars. We took the short drive one day to the brewery in Newfoundland and had a great time.

Brian was very accommodating, hospitable, and informative. Can't wait to plan our next trip back, definitely recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Outboards

Lake Wallenpaupack is a center of recreation for the surrounding communities, providing boating, swimming, and fishing access in the summertime, as well as ice skating and ice fishing in the winter. Its wooded shoreline also provides opportunities for hiking and viewing wildlife. Lake fish include smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, bluegill, walleye, muskellunge, northern pike, pickerel, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, catfish and yellow perch. Striped bass and hybrid striped bass have been stocked in the lake. The lake is 13 miles (21 km) long, has 52 miles (84 km) of shoreline, and is about 60 feet (18 m) deep at its maximum depth. Guests can rent boats paddle boards and jet skis or go parasailing right across the street at Light House Marina. I have two kayaks available for weekly rental to guests. The Lake is right across the street about 200 ft from the property.
