This cabin offers a unique combination of great views, comfort and seclusion. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for a family of four.
This newly constructed solid log cabin has awesome views for 7 miles to the North of the Pine Mountains and 7 miles to the South. Wrap around porches and decks. The house is on 175 acres of timberland with only one other cabin and no other houses around.
This log cabin feels authentic with log furniture throughout.
Talbot county is one of the least populated and undeveloped counties in Georgia and you can really see that from this house! The house has all the modern amenities.
This cabin is a very different experience from other Pine Mountain rentals where you are packed into a sub-division with other cabins.
Charles lives in Woodland on a small farm with his wife. He has horses, dogs, cats, goats, and chickens. Pat lives in Atlanta with his wife and two sons. He goes to Woodland frequently where he manages some timberland.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2011
Many of my friends talked about getting away for the weekend to someplace secluded. Not to a resort or other tourist attraction but to someplace undeveloped with lots of space. Woodland is a peaceful place where everyone knows everyone and there are no large corporations. So I built this house and it has been a great success.
This solid log home has views North and South for 7 miles. It is on 175 acres of timberland in one of the least populated and undeveloped counties in Georgia. It is only 100 miles from Atlanta.
The owner of the cabin was one of the best people that you could meet. We ended up moving to the other Cabin because I seen that nobody was staying at that one and he let us pay the difference and then gave us a great deal on one more night there. Both cabins are great and I would highly recommend that you will love them. I hope to come back and stay again. We have stayed in Gatlinburg, Blue Ridge at cabins there and this by far was the best one for view and privacy and very clean !
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We needed something fixed and the owner was there in 10 min. ! Can't ask for anything more. He was just a great guy. We only brought our food - everything else was at the cabin.
We will certainly return !
We loved this cabin! No doubt that we will return again and again. The cabin is well-built and nicely furnished, with obvious attention to details, such as deep sinks and granite countertops, not to mention the fabulous kitchen table and outdoor furniture. The owner was very responsive and helpful, before and during our stay. We cooked meals at the cabin, while enjoying the wood burning fireplace. Firewood and a lighter were provided, and we ran to the nearest Dollar General to get some little fire starter logs that made it quite easy. We also enjoyed hiking nearby when it wasn't raining, and when it was raining and we hunkered down in the loft to watch football and play Yahtzee and enjoy each other's company and the view. Perfect weekend. Cannot wait to go back. We are considering renting both cabins and inviting extended family, but it's tempting to keep this little cabin a secret!
This property is well kept, with great views, and a responsive owner. It is perfectly secluded, with the exception of the other cabin on the property, and offers modern amenities. This was my second stay with a great experience. I recommend bringing meals to prepare at the cabin as you are about 20 minutes from stores/restaurants. There's plenty of fire wood for winter stays and the fireplace heats the entire cabin. Highly recommended for a secluded getaway.
We enjoyed a short visit to this beautiful cabin. It was very well kept with a great view. The porch was so nice to enjoy morning coffee and just relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great with good water pressure! Our stay was just too short but we will be back. Thanks for sharing your lovely place!
We rented both cabins (pine and cyrpess) for our family thanksgiving vacation. It was perfet, great location for day excursions to Callaway gardens, animal safari, warm springs and more. The cabins were well stocked and were very comfortable. We will certainely do this again and I highly recommend either cabin. Pat was a perfect host and our vacation could not have been any better. -thank you.
