very nice place, quiet and remote
We had a great time at the Cedar Cabin. Very well placed in a beautiful forest. Lots of very nice hike not to far.
A place we recommend.
A surprise winter wonderland
The host was responsive and prompt to respond to glitches. Ron was accommodating and generous with his welcoming food gifts. The property is off the beaten path which is exactly what we were after. There is plenty of space for my shepherds to explore without the concern of intrusion. The cabin is easily heated by furnace or wood. We were combining business with pleasure so didn't get to explore, hike, etc. as much as we would have liked. We would definitely return . Absolutely stunning area in the snow.
A most memorable Christmas
Our family rents a cabin in the woods, preferably with snow included, each Christmas. One of our 3 grandchildren said about this stay 'this is the best cabin yet', and we agree. This is a nice large home with plenty of room to stretch out. Located on Bly Mountain, about 45 minutes east of Klamath Falls, it is easy to access yet rural enough to feel that you have the woods to yourself. The beds are large and soft, with lots of linens and warm comforters. We appreciated the availability of sleds and winter gear, and the kids found a road nearby for perfect sledding adventures. The kitchen is large, and fairly well equipped. The only thing we found that could improve is the lighting; the main rooms are pretty dark despite using the lamps, so if you're wanting to read, better bring a reading light. The owners are very nice and helpful, and we are so glad we selected this home for our holiday.
Our family had a great time at your cabin over Thanksgiving.
Our family had a nice time at your cabin. It was quiet and quaint, just what we were looking for, and central to the adventures we planned. It was a pleasant surprise to have breakfast supplies and other snacks to get us started, along with a tour by the owner to show us the ropes. The bottles of beer and wine were a very nice touch. We enjoyed using both fireplaces on Thanksgiving day against the backdrop of a couple inches of snow. We also loved the supply of games and puzzles! However, we didn't sleep as well as we could. The mattresses were too firm and the noise from the heater when it came on made it somewhat difficult to get a good night's rest. For future guests, it would be helpful to know ahead of time that you can't access the road the cabin is on directly since it was closed when highway improvements were made.
absoluatley wonderful cabin
What a beautiful cabin! We never wanted to leave. The cabin setting in the woods was so quiet and serene at all times. We saw deer on the property, the kids loved the swing outside, we all loved the fact that the cabin was a real log cabin. There were fire places to make cozy fires in the evening. So much space inside and outside the cabin. The owner was very friendly as well. He came early (before check in time) to accommodate our early arrival. He surprised us with orange juice, organic eggs and wonderful raisin bread. He also was absolutely wonderful in getting us settled and giving us tips on what to do.
There was only 1 little downside to our stay. The shower was not working very well. The kids didn't mind though :).
We absolutely recommend this place. We'll definately come again!
Beautiful setting, peaceful
Cozy cabin on Bly Mtn pass enjoyed by the whole family! I rented this cabin for two weeks and my adult sons were able to visit intermittently. Snuggled with the grandbaby on the hammock under the trees which ended his fussiness every time! We had plenty of room even when all three sons and their partners were there. Single bathroom but there is an outhouse when occupied. (No overpowering smelliness noticed). Plenty of pots, pans, and dishes plus a barbeque grill on the back porch. Benches on the porch and a small patio on the other end of the cabin made enjoying the outdoors even more enjoyable. Deer in the back yard at night, a big fat cat living in the barn. A pathway around the property was nice for early morning walks. The cabin is about an hour from Crater Lake, not to be missed! We found snow in July, enough for the big "kids" to slide down.
We selected this property for its peaceful setting yet good road access. Klamath Falls is only 25 minutes away. We also went to the little general store in Bonanza but don't count on it to have what you need (out of coffee filters). They have a relatively large selection of beer and wine for a small store, plus some hard liquor behind the counter.
The ladies spent one afternoon at a spa in Klamath, we all visited Crater Lake, some of us visited Lava Beds. The whole point was to relax and do very little; we accomplished this!
Crater Lake national Park , The Lava Beds national Monument , Mitchell Monument , Running Y golf course (Arnold Palmer Designed), Klamoya Casino...Many Rivers and Lakes to explore...
