About the property

Great escape including private hot tub

We've spent $125,000 to create "the Art Barn" including sleeping for three or more, a living area with leather couch and a day bed, and a dining room table for up to six. Did we mention a gated courtyard with a hot tub, and a big Weber grill expressly for our casita guests? The barn features art on the walls, tall ceilings, and a terrific bathroom with a stall shower. Think small and sexy and ...

Perfect for an short or extended stay in Tucson

  • 5 of 5

We are beginning to "snowbird" to get away from the cold weather. The casita was a great place to spend a few few weeks and enjoy the desert. It is very dog friendly with the enclosed patio area. The property is only 2 miles from Saguaro National Park in the foothills of the Rincon Mountains. It was very quiet, and while away from the main city it is a quick drive to most areas of Tucson.

Owner's Response: Thanks for being such great guests and we have acted on all your smart suggestions, including some extra pots -- even though I never cook when I stay in our casita, I should have thought other people would have enjoyed warm meals in the desert evenings.

The Art Barn at Two Birds Ranch

  • 5 of 5

The Art Barn was a well appointed, attractively decorated, small casita. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We particularly appreciated the privacy of the setting. We also liked that it was close to the Saguaro Corners Restaurant, one of our favorite places to eat in Tucson. We would recommend it to any couple (or even three people) looking for an off-beat place for a short term stay in the south-east section of Tucson.

Awesome place, so peaceful and serene

  • 5 of 5

This was an awesome property. Although a casita, there is an incredible amount of privacy. The hot tub right outside the door was an added plus! Very comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. I am a business traveler and prefer rentals over hotels for exactly the reason that this place offered. Desert beauty at its finest. AND Saguaro National Park is literally 3 miles from the door...I highly recommend a visit and drive/hike in the park. Thanks so much Marian for your hospitality. I definitely hope to be back!

Cute, cute, cute!

  • 5 of 5

This property had everything my husband and I needed for a relaxing stay in Tucson. The property is completely updated with beautiful finishes and decor - so calm and inviting! We loved the location which made us feel as if we were in a private oasis away from the busy city - but we were actually just minutes away from all city amenities! Perfect! The private courtyard and outdoor seating was wonderful for late afternoon reading and the secluded outdoor hot tub offered privacy, viewing of the star filled sky and a second entrance directly into the bathroom. This location was perfect for our day trips to Starr Pass, Mount Lemmon, Tombstone, and wine tasting in Elgin and Sonoita. We will consider this property for our future trips to Tucson! Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Quiet casita on the outskirts of Tucson near the national park

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at the Casita for 5 days in February 2016. We would agree with everything the first reviewer said. The hosts were helpful but not obtrusive. We enjoyed sitting outside on the quiet property looking at the cactus, the mountains, and the sunset each evening.

The casita was clean and new. There was a full fridge in the courtyard so we had lots of room for food. We enjoyed the BBQ and hot tub. This was our first time in Arizona and we liked being two miles from the national park so we could go for short hikes and really appreciate the landscape.

Delightful little casita!

  • 5 of 5

We are former Tucson residents, so we were simply looking for something comfortable and close to family which is sorely lacking on the Vail side of town. Also, we needed space for family to visit us as my spouse is allergic to cats that other family members have. This place suited us perfectly!

First of all, it's detached from the main house on five acres; so if you are looking for desert solitude, peace and quiet, that's what you'll get. Yet it's close to main roads, allowing easy access to the city. It's the perfect jumping-off point for Saguro National Park East as well as other east side attractions. The view from the bedroom window is amazing. We were able to bring our elderly dog with us and she was quite comfortable as well.

The space is very clean and modern with enough seating and parking to visit with guests. The kitchen is small, but just large enough to be able to do for yourself. Plus, the proprietor brought over a cooler to extend storage space for us. And the casita includes a washer/dryer and a hot tub, so would be good for people needing space for an extended stay. Think upscale studio apartment. And the bed was very comfortable, which is very important to us!

Our hostess was very responsive to email messages (didn't try any other method of contact so as not to disturb people too much over the holiday weekend) and saw to all of our needs. A very pleasant stay, and a place I'd go in the future.
