About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Excellent for large groups

 • 4 of 5

We had our family reunion here in early June. The house was excellent for our large group with lots of room for everyone. The separate living room/ bunk room downstairs was great for the kids. The house itself is maybe a little worn but comfortable and there was some debris outside around the house but I assume that was from the snow that had melted not too long before we stayed there. Enough plates, serving utensils for our large group, mismatched but that's okay (it's a pet peeve to rent a huge house and then have 6 forks and 8 plates, etc). The location is really great. You can easily walk to shops/restaurants in Government Camp or to Ski Bowl. I imagine during the ski season it'd be super easy to go ski. We drove just a few minutes down the road and did the Trillium Lake Loop with our family group and had a picnic afterward. All in all a very comfortable place to stay for the weekend.

Perfect for a large group

 • 4 of 5

Excellent for groups, plenty of bedrooms and common areas for gathering. Bunk rooms were perfect for kids, enough utensils and serving dishes for a big group and a really great location. Easy to walk to restaurants in Government Camp or over to Ski Bowl. Really great spot for our family reunion this June.

Amazing House

 • 5 of 5

The house was much longer than advertised on the website. This is definitely the perfect house for large groups who want to stay together but still have there own space.

Mt Hood Ski trip

Great place to stay with a large group and kids. 3 levels, lots of rooms. Basement was a bit chilly, but kids were fine with that.
