Escape to a cozy and quiet retreat located in a secluded setting at the end of a private cul de sac. Enjoy the peaceful calm of over one acre of serene nature. Staying in this home will give you access to the lake and beach which are within walking distance. The house has two decks that offer many options for dining outdoors. Start your morning with breakfast at the lower deck, fire up the grill for lunch at the upper deck, and then after dinner, roasts some s’mores and tell ghost stories by the fire pit. Wind down the day by relaxing in the sun room, sitting by the fireplace with great company, or playing a friendly game of Air Hockey in the loft. Sit back, relax and take in the beautiful scenery and sunsets that are right outside the door.
Things to do: Located right in Lake Harmony, you are within minutes of Big Boulder Ski Area and Jack Frost Mountain for snow sports during the winter. The spring, summer and fall offer a variety of outdoor activities. The location is central to many of the Poconos finest activities such as golf, fishing, white water rafting, paintball, horseback riding, kayaking, etc. At only 15-20 minutes away, Hickory Run State Park offers hiking on many marked trails, picnicking in the pavilion area or taking a dip in the lake. The Crossings outlet stores, Mt. Airy Casino, and Mohegan Sun Casino are a short 25 minutes drive for shopping and gambling. Or just simply come on up to kick back and relax, pull up a chair and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Pocono Mountains found at every window in this home. You will not run out of things to do here.
When we decided to go away as a family for Christmas finding a location that would fit all of us (10 people) and provide a warm home-like feel for the Holiday was key. This property more than met our needs. It had enough bedrooms as well as ample common area space for gatherings. Due to the weather we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor amenities of the property, but there were plenty of other options for activities in the Poconos within reasonable driving distance. David, the Owner, was easy to work with. My family very much enjoyed our time here. We would definitely recommend this property to those looking for a group get away to the Poconos.
One of the few words to describe it. Amazing. Eight of us stayed over the weekend for some rafting fun and we were all thrilled with how great this place was. It was close by our the rafting place and any stores or restaurants we need to stop by. The place is beautiful and the perfect price.
David (the owner) was great. He responded swiftly to any inquiries I had. It was very reassuring knowing that we could contact him any time if we had any problems (which we didn't at all). I would recommend this place to anyone and I can safetly say that you will thank him for this great place.
Awesome place. We stayed at the lakehouse with a group of 9 ppl and had such a great time. The house was very nice and cozy. David was super nice and accommodating, which made the trip all the more comfortable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place for a group of ppl who are looking for a private, comfy get-away. There are also lots of outdoor activities you can do around the area as well. Overall, it's a place we would likely revisit.
This house is perfect for anyone looking for a great location in the Poconos. Not only is it a stone's throw from several great restaurants and bars, it's also close to many golf courses, hiking trails, lakes, ski slopes, and everything else the Pocono mountains has to offer.
I stayed with a small group of friends for a golf weekend and we had a fabulous time. Whether hitting the links, playing beanbag in the spacious area at the dead end (no through traffic!!!), or hitting up the local hot spots, we had a blast!!
David is very easy to work with and always responsive to any questions. The check-in and check-out process is a breeze.
My only recommendation: a hot tub! Otherwise, all good things to say. Thanks David!
A group of friends and I stayed at this property over July 4th weekend. We all came from different areas and met there, so we had 8 vehicles. I was SO pleased with how much space there was to park! Walking around the lake and surrounding area, there really aren't many houses that can accommodate more than 2-3 cars max, so that was awesome.
Also, this house is located all the way at the end of the road and there is no through traffic (aside from security driving around periodically, which is nice); it is completely private! The upper deck is newly renovated and a really nice area to hang out. It feels like you're up in the canopy of the trees. There’s plenty of space in the driveway to play some yard games as well. We set up washers and ladder golf and had lots of room (even with all the cars there).
As far as the interior, everything looks exactly like the pictures. The WiFi isn’t the best, but you’re there to relax and spend time with people, not play on your phone, so that wasn’t a big deal. You do get cell service there, so making calls isn’t an issue.
The house less than a 5 minute walk to the lake and nearby restaurants like Piggy’s, Hog Heaven (delicious ice cream place), Nick’s Lake House, and Terra Cottage Café. There were fireworks over the lake on Sunday night and you could view them perfectly from the grassy area next to Nick’s Lake House, just a short walk away. I feel like we REALLY lucked out with location with this house.
Overall, the whole group was VERY pleased with everything. David was very easy to work with and straight forward. Highly recommended if you want privacy, great location, and room for multiple vehicles to park!
David was great to work with and answered all of our questions ahead of time with explicit directions for the water key entrance, heater, what we need to bring, etc.
The house was in fine shape. Mattresses were fine. Space was good for 9 of us to cook, watch TV (which definitely needs an upgrade), relax, drink beers and play cards. Both guys and gals thought everything was clean and well put together. Air hockey table was a nice bonus.
The place is close to enough amenities. We went before the snows so didn't get to go skiing, but just enjoyed relaxing and went hiking. Would go back.
