Our beach cottage sits on Plymouth Long Beach, a 3 mile peninsula that juts out into Cape Cod Bay. It is situated in the middle of the peninsula with both the harbor and the open ocean within a stone's throw away on either side. You can enjoy your coffee in the morning on the ocean side deck while watching gorgeous sunrises or eat dinner on the other side, taking in the spectacular sunsets. Relax any time in the hammock on the upstairs deck.
There is an open concept both upstairs and down. The kitchen/living room area and bathroom are downstairs. Upstairs is one large open bedroom with 2 double beds. With windows all around, you can enjoy the panoramic views in every direction from anywhere inside the cottage.
Upon request, we will leave 2 kayaks for your recreational use. You can paddle over to the Plymouth waterfront and take in the sights and sounds of America's hometown. Take a fishing rod along and perhaps you'll catch a tasty striped bass or blue fish to grill for dinner.
Don't forget to visit Bramhall's store (1 mile away) and stock up on fresh veggies, lobster's, lobster rolls and Ben and Jerry's ice cream.
Although many renters choose not to leave the beach, if you do decide to venture out, there are numerous places to go and things to do in the Plymouth area. Visit historic Plimoth Plantation, Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower. Go whale watching or take a fishing excursion on the Captain John Boats. There are also golf courses, parks, ponds, restaurants, sports bars, and plenty of shopping nearby. You may like to head north to Boston or south to Cape Cod and the islands.
What ever you choose to do, we are almost certain that you will want to return year after year as many of our renters do.
4WD or AWD is required to access the beach road.
Descended from the Pilgrims, our father Wedge built this property on land that was in his family for centuries. We all remain in Plymouth where we also run Bramhall's Country Store, a local food shop with lobster, lobster rolls, a farm stand, and Ben and Jerry's ice cream.
Jami Bramhall purchased this cottage in 1981
This property is located on Plymouth Beach Peninsula. The beaches are a stone's throw from either the back or the front porch. This location is perfect for a couple or family trying to enjoy the great outdoors and relax at the beach.
Two beaches. Great birdwatching.
Right from the beginning Jami was easy to work with, and very accommodating of our requests. My husband and I stayed in the house for our wedding weekend, and it was perfect! The panoramic views from inside and outside the house create a romantic, relaxing setting, and the sea breeze keeps the house cool even if its a very hot day. During high tide you have a choice between swimming on the public beach, or on the private beach (on the harbor side). The day after the wedding we used the house to host a small cookout (in place of the traditional brunch), and it was a huge hit! There was something for everyone: swimming, kayaking, sunbathing or just sitting on one of the porches, soaking up the view! I plan to book again next year!
I had the pleasure of spending a couple of days in this great cottage with my Daughter and her sister. My daughter was visiting from Nashville and it was my "job" to get her to the beach for a couple of days. Well, it would hard to do better than this place. Ocean side beach out front, bayside beach out back (with kayaks), a more secluded drive-onto beach just up the road, or the public beach at the entrance complete with bathhouse and snack bar. The inside is very nice (nicer than the photos indicate) with huge picture windows on all sides, comfy furniture and beds, a TV, a stereo with speakers both up and down stairs, and all the kitchen supplies you could need. The 2nd floor deck with a big hammock is fantastic for relaxing as well as watching the beautiful sunrises, as well as the big rear deck for grilling, chilling, and watching the sunset over Plymouth harbor. Too many great restaurants, bars, historic sights, etc. very close by to list. Just look in the guest book in the cottage for ideas. Just as great as the cottage is it's owner Jamie. She is a pleasure to work with and was a big help to me in booking on pretty short notice. I hope to be back for a longer stay in the future!
A lovely place! A beautiful view! Very clean! Has some nice extras like board games, beach chairs, cooler, body boards, kayaks etc. Planning on staying again in the future
The cottage has two choices for beach, backyard and front yard. Lots of privacy. Three separate decks to enjoy the breezes. Bring your rock climbing shoes to access the ocean. Everything is clean and pretty inside. Comfortably accommodated two adults and a child for sleeping. and with the couch and a blowup bed, could accommodate more. We had such a lovely stay and hope to come back next year!
4 wheel drive is required.
