Great private home with two guest houses, perfect for families or groups!
Situated in Manuel Antonio's lush tropical rainforest, Casa Colibri provides you with exceptional accommodations, a stunning ocean view, and frequent visits by monkeys, sloths, and tropical birds and lizards. Two secluded guest houses, Casa Gekko and Casa Selva, flank this three-bedroom villa making it an ideal setting for those who enjoy the camaraderie of others but also desire the serenity of personal space. In total, the estate comfortably sleeps 11 but can accommodate 14 with use of our new sofabeds.
After passing through the entrance gate you will immediately notice the newly constructed pool and exotic Tiki hut equipped with a granite top bar and the latest grill for those magical afternoons and evenings living the “pure life.” Pura vida! An additional feature of Casa Colibri that makes it unique is what we call the “Mirador Adventure”. Located just off the pool, this multi structure entertainment area consists of a gazebo with hammocks and rockers that have an ocean view, tree-house, bridges, rope climbs, tires and swings. Adventure awaits here for all ages.

Casa Colibri is an absolute delight for a larger group!
We were a party of nine; six adults and three children who travelled from different continents to spend time together. As we had small children with us, we spent a lot of time at the house. The website description did not do the facilities justice! The pool and treehouse areas in the garden were safe and ideal for the family. We saw more animals and birds in the garden than in the National Park.
We used the main house and both cottages, which gave each element of the group some private space. We bought and cooked own food in the evenings ourselves, as we enjoy cooking. The regular cleaning and washing was a great boon and comparable with hotel service.
I would recommend car hire. We hired two and would have struggled without them for trips into nearby Quepos, safe beaches and supermarkets, taking advantage of the excellent advice provided by the property manager.
The house is up in the jungle and peaceful. Yet it is less than 2 kilometres (most of it steep hillside) from Quepos, which has shops, restaurants and a marina.
Glad to hear your group enjoyed Casa Colibri! It was a pleasure hosting your family and do hope one day you can join us again in Paradise!!
As a family of 13 we all loved this place. Secluded, but only minutes to Quepos. There seemed to be something for all ages. The kids enjoyed the multi-level pool that gave them all swim zones. The parents loved the cabana over the pool and simply relaxation.
House was very clean, cleaning staff was there everyday. Even scrubbed the BBQ spotless from the night before.
The most interesting was the visits from the animals. We had a troop of monkeys each day that came through, and even enjoyed the hammocks like we did. Iguana's each day would check us out. We even had a visit from a pair of crabs. We seen more animals here than the national Park...
Too much to write, manager and all the staff were great, don't hesitate to book.
Stunning, relaxing and a true value in every way
Fantastic layout with a lovely three bedroom main house and two casitas which worked very well for our group of eight family members.
The pool/bar area and hammock tree house were a super hit with the kids and adults alike.
We were entertained every morning and evening by white faced and squirrel monkeys, "Lola" the huge iguana, saw scarlet macaws fly over and a toucan.
The night guard, Gardner , daily house keeper and Susan the concierge were kind, professional and couldn't have been more helpful.
The property is clean and very well maintained and has a view of the ocean and a path (30 minutes) to a quiet beach.
It's a great location to explore waterfalls, hike, walk into town and the marina, groceries are a short drive and beaches abound.
Loved it and so will you!
Thank you for sharing your lovely home with our family, and thank you Heather and Susan for your knowledgeable and kind assistance every step of the way.

50th Wedding anniversary Christmas celebration
Eagerly anticipated first time trip to Costa Rica as a destination event for our 50th wedding anniversary over Christmas went without a hitch. Casa Colibri turned out to be the perfect location for our 3 generation 11 member family and it exceeded our expectations on every level. Planning assistance by Susan Ranger, our friendly and capable concierge, was invaluable. Her attention to detail on arranging the airport shuttles from San Jose, the 4 tours on our itinerary and her choice of Chef Carlos to handle our breakfast and dinner needs was spot on for making our stay trouble free. The property is obviously well maintained and the availability of 2 casitas allowed our party to spread out and have a semblance of privacy over our 8 day stay. The pool set up and new cabana were big hits and the tree house and elevated hammock observation area were popular. There were far more wildlife sightings on this property than anywhere else in Manuel Antonio with nearly daily invasions by large troops of squirrel and capuchin monkeys each afternoon that gave an up close and very personal exposure to primate behavior. The kids also eagerly awaited Iggy, the large resident iguana and his girlfriend Izzy, to patrol the property daily. Access to all the nearby local beaches is best done by cab, bus or rental car since this area is very hilly and there are no sidewalks to speak of along the narrow main road that runs from the town of Quepos to the excellent national park beach area. Would definitely return to Casa Colibri.
We had a fabulous time staying at Casa Colibri.Carlos the chef is fantastic, and really added to our stay. The grounds are spectacular and we so enjoyed seeing the various birds and the monkeys coming right up to the decking area.Susan was enormously helpful as well. We were able to do some fantastic excursions that were easy to get to. We really loved the wooden structure including the treehouse I hope that that remains.
