When I was 27 years old, I decided to sell real estate. Shortly after at the age of 29, I decided to open my own brokerage, Southern Trade Realty (Oct. 2006 so you do the math to see how old I am now)! I quickly learned to combine my passion for designing, creating and decorating to another level. I started to invest in real estate at a very young age, and I am still very passionate about it. I really enjoy getting to know my guests and proud to say I now have repeat buisness. I concentrate on making sure my guests are happy and I take pride in the comfort of my properties and of course, the decor has to be just right. Feel free to call me Shannon 804-815-1912.
Shannon French purchased this farmhouse in 2011
This area is where I personally grew up. I remember the days on the river at a very young age. I fished, crabbed, learned how to swim, relax, kayak, explore and I am still enjoying all of this today with my family and friends.
Pictures cannot even describe this property (many of our guests say this once they arrive). It is one of the most serene places to be. Listening to the waves crash up against the rocks at night, taking a nap in the hammock on a warm summer afternoon, to watching the Osprey on the river, there is not a better place to enjoy nature at it's best. It is all at your fingertips.
We enjoyed our stay here at your vacayion home! Your home is amazing! My family & I traveled all over and we usually rent vacation homes and I must say that this home was one of the best homes weve stayed in. We appreciate all the extra ammenities! The beach was wonderful as well! If we ever decide to revisit this area we wouldnt think twice about renting from you again! God Bless you! Thanks for everything!
Perfect vacation home in a quiet location. Looking forward to renting here again!!!!
Away from the hubub but close enough to travel to Williamsburg, water country, Busch Gardens. The house is well equipped and clean with all you need during your stay. Owners very helpful with information and quick to share their waterfront yard. Kids loved seeing the chickens and hearing the rooster crow. Just plain refreshing.
Great location off the beaten path. We were very comfortable and for prompt answers to questions we had. We would highly recommend this location and would love coming back (may be a while since we are in Colorado). Definitely take the kayaks out. We say dolphins in Bay on our last day there! What a rush. It was a very enjoyable experience!
We recently spent a week at Shannon's vacation house. The house was beautiful and well kept up. We ranged from ages of 1 year to 60, with a total of 10 people, and we were all very comfortable there and had plenty of room. Shannon and her family were very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed visiting Jamestown, Norfolk and the surrounding area. There is a family owned store down the road from the house that was well worth a visit. Our favorite activity there was the fishing on the new pier. With the advice of Shannon's son John we were able to catch many red croakers, a blow fish and two stingrays. We would definitely recommend this home for a relaxing vacation and hope to go back again sometime soon. Thank to Shannon and her wonderful family.
The rain didn't stop us all from enjoying our time together. The home was wonderful. We cooked, played games, watched movies and when the sun came out we enjoyed the boats together. Love to do it again soon.
We stayed for a week in April to attend a wedding in the area. The house was perfect for a party of 12. We were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The house is lovely, beautifully decorated, and well maintained. There was plenty of everything (beds, towels, dishes, etc). The house is convenient for sightseeing in Richmond, Yorktown, Williamsburg and Jamestown. There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. in town. We would definitely book this house again. We consider this a FIVE STAR property!
