A Very Relaxing Getaway
We stayed at the ocean edge villa at the Four Seasons in Nevis this January with our small family and we had a wonderful relaxing time. This resort provided a fabulous holiday experience from start to finish. We had organised an airport transfer with the resort and the FS’s staff were there to meet us at the arrivals lounge.
A quick taxi and ferry trip had us on the beautiful small island of Nevis within the hour.
I have to say that I loved this place… from the beaches, locals, staff, food, culture, countryside and music – it was all a wonderful experience. Our 3 bedroom villa was everything that Paul from Exceptional Villas said it would be. It was bright, modern comfortable and just a short stroll from the beach and resort. We has full access to the Four Seasons which offered golf, tennis, Spa treatments, swimming pools, Gym, water sports to monkey tours, kids club and hiking Mt Nevis.
There were 3 restaurants available to eat in, Coral Grill has your everyday cuisine and is located at the resort while for fine dining the beachfront Mango’s is the place to go.
This was a great trip to Nevis, the staff and locals and the island is beautiful.
Very enjoyable week on Pinneys Beach
Just arrived back from a week’s stay at Hamilton Beach. We booked a 2 bedroom beachfront villa which was bright modern and overlooked the beach and ocean. Waking up in the morning and looking across at St Kitts was a sight to behold. The beach was beautiful and quiet and the people of Nevis are the nicest we have met anywhere!!
Totally relaxing holiday.
FABULOUS SUPER LUXURIOUS VILLA
We have just returned from two weeks in Nevis and decided to try two different villas. We had a truly amazing experience! Our stay at the Ocean Edge for my birthday was a memorable experience. From booking the villa until the minute we departed, the Exceptional Villas specialists and staff at the villa were very accommodating and attentive to our every need. The villa was beautiful and exactly as reflected on the website. Well decorated, spacious, very clean and completely stocked with everything we needed. We has access to the resorts facilities which included 3 pools, choice of restaurants, tennis, golf and water sports. Beach butlers served us drinks food and spoilt us for the week. A memorable experience !
A place to return to and we can't wait.
Our family stayed at the newly built Oceans Edge villa at the wonderful Four Seasons Resort in Nevis recently and we can’t wait to go back. It’s one of the best vacations our family has taken during the last 10 years. Having our own home is a delightful way to vacation and having it on the cusp on Pinneys Beach makes it near perfect. While staying here we have full access to the resort which includes 3 different swimming pools, different choice of restaurants, golf and tennis among loads of other amenities.
The villa was bright, spotless and very modern; we had our own pool and breathtaking views of Mount Nevis. There is also a one bedroom cottage next to the house, I didn’t get to see inside it but as there are 8 of us travelling next year we will certainly use it. We ate out most nights at Mango’s and Coral Grill and had an excellent chef come and cook dinner on our last evening. The staff were amazing also, Carol and Edwina (housekeepers) met us with big smiles every morning as they went about their daily routine.
We toured the island with a guide one of the days; I went deep sea fishing with my 2 sons while my wife and daughters were spoilt with drinks and fruits served from the beach attendants.
All in all it was a great vacation with fabulous services and friendly locals.

P.S You have to visit “Sunshine’s” which is a short walk down the beach; it serves great local cuisine and the strongest “Killer Bee Cocktail” that I have ever tasted!!!
Wonderful location, Fabulous villa, Great service
Stayed here in July last with my family and 2 kids. We has a 3 bedroom villa which was close to both the beach and the Four Seasons Resort. It was a truly wonderful stay and the kids loved every minute of it. The villa was both modern and bright and there was plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied. Beach service was great and we have full access to the resort facilities too.
We ate in many restaurants close by ( Mango’s being my fav) and even had a night of Caribbean dancing in the Lime bar which is a 5 min walk along the beach away. They have a kids clubs and plenty of water sports to keep my two happy.
We travel to the Caribbean as much as possible and this trip to Nevis was unforgettable.
Nevis is a stunning and tiny beautiful volcanic island covering an area of 35 square miles and has a population of just 12,000 people. It is known for its beautiful beaches, wonderful coves, lush rain forests and 18th century plantations houses. The island divides naturally into two halves. The south is dominated by the mountains and rain forests whilst the north is where you will find some stunning vacation rentals in Nevis and the main beach activities. Our luxury vacation rentals in Nevis are unique and offer a wonderful charm which is greatly influenced from the island itself. Nevis has stunning vacation rentals which are of an extremely high standard yet the island itself is very much a traditional Caribbean destination. The tiny island of Nevis is dotted with fascinating buildings, plantation houses and historical sites such as the Nelson Museum. Nevis is also stunningly beautiful with pristine beaches, botanical gardens, dramatic waterfalls, mountains and rain forests to enjoy. There is a wide range of water sports, excellent hiking and a world class 18 hole golf course at the Four Seasons resort. Attractions In Nevis CHARLESTOWN Charlestown is the capital of Nevis and is a pretty West Indian waterfront town set on the West coast. Even though it is the capital, the town is small without ever being really crowded and it is a lovely place to spend an hour or two wandering around the interesting network of streets. The Charlestown market has local fruit and vegetables on sale and in the heart of the town on the main street you will find the banks, businesses and the tourist information offices. There are two lovely squares in the centre of Charlestown where some of the prettiest stone and wooden buildings are located. NEVIS BOTANICAL GARDENS The Nevis Botanical Gardens are spread over 7 acres and displays plants and flowers from across the tropical world. They are laid out in several areas covering different environments including the Tropical Vine Garden, the Orchid Terrace, the Rose Garden and the Rainforest Conservatory. NEVIS PLANTATION INNS Nevis boasts some of the loveliest plantation inns in the Caribbean. A visit for lunch, dinner or afternoon tea is a wonderful way to get a feel for a bygone era. Two of the most well known plantation houses are the Hermitage Plantation Inn and the Montpelier Plantation House which date back to the late 1600s. They are some of the finest wooden buildings in the Caribbean. FIG TREE CHURCH Fig Tree Church which was originally built in 1680 was the location for the marriage of Horatio Nelson and Fanny Nisbet in 1787. Fig Tree Church is located 3km from Charlestown on the round island road. NELSON MUSEUM Here you will find an exceptional collection of the famous Admiral’s memorabilia. BRIMSTONE HILL FORTRESS A visit to the Brimstone Hill Fortress is well worth a visit while you are on Nevis. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site that is one of the best-preserved historic forts within the Caribbean. HIKING Nevis is particularly good for hiking. If you enjoy a good hike, you might enjoy a climb to the top of the stunning Mount Nevis – a dormant volcano. It is a tough walk and the views from the top are usually obscured by clouds, but its well worth it just for the climb itself. There are also many historic plantation ruins to explore, some set amongst lush rainforest greenery. There are several companies that will bring you on escorted walks which range from nature walks along old island paths, through the rainforest, bird watching tours and visit to local villages. GOLF The Four Seasons resort where many of our luxury vacation rentals in Nevis are located is top class. Take your golf game to the next level with professional instruction, a driving range and a putting green. The par-71 course which was designed by Robert Trent Jones the second, features a dramatic view of the Resort and the neighbouring island of St. Kitts. MOUNTAIN BIKING Nevis is great for mountain bikers of all levels. There are simple road excursions through local villages to hard-core single tracks. You can take a ride for example on the historic upper round road which once linked the higher sugar estates. There is also an annual triathlon which is held in March out of Charlestown. BEACHES IN NEVIS The beaches in Nevis are particularly beautiful and because of the volcanic nature of the island they can vary greatly from pristine white to jet black. Oualie Beach which overlooks St Kitts is the most active with lots of water sports opportunities. The 3.5 miles of golden sand on Pinney’s Beach is stunningly beautiful made even more so by the back drop of the Nevis Peak. Pinney’s Beach is perfect for swimming and you will find some of the most luxurious vacation rentals in Nevis here. Lover’s Beach at the northern tip of the island, although hard to get to and sometimes windy is a lovely remote stretch of light covered sand.
