Interaction with Guests

I aim to make your stay trouble-free and enjoyable and without interference. However, if you need assistance there is always someone available 24x7. Your residence is professionally cleaned before your stay.

The Neighborhood

With a short walk to the Stadium Armory Metro station, you’ll find that this is a convenient location. Want a great afternoon out? A short distance from your residence are the many sidewalk cafes and restaurants at Eastern Market, Barracks Row, or along the H-Street Corridor. For a culture fix, head to the Smithsonian American Art Museum (less than 3 miles away) or explore the Newseum, which has seven levels of galleries dedicated to the world’s most fascinating news stories. On the dining front, eavesdrop on the city’s movers and shakers during lunch at the Oval Room and dinner in Georgetown at sceney Cafe Milano, then work it off the next day with a stroll through Lincoln Park in Capitol Hill where you will enjoy free outdoor concerts.

Oh, and don’t forget your golf clubs! Located just minutes from your residence, East Potomac Golf Course is a located at the convergence of Potomac and Anacostia rivers and is part of the National Park System. The year round 18-hole course provides some of Washington's greatest landmarks in the background, most noticeable is the Washington Monument.

Or spend your afternoon rooting for the home team, the Washington Nationals, at their swanky stadium, Nationals Park or simply walk to the nonstop jumping, singing, chanting and flag-waving that happens at DC United games at RFK Stadium.

Join the after work crowd unwinding over briny Virginia oysters and house-made punches at Hank’s Oyster Bar. Finally, skip the crowds and take a nighttime bike tour of the monuments.

Getting around

The location will work both for drivers and for those who intend to explore DC by foot. If you are driving, your residence is just 3 minutes away from I-295 and 5 minutes to I-395, which gives you easy access to I-95. And once you are here, it is right on the Orange, Silver, and Blue metro lines, making wherever you are going in DC a cinch. Your stay will be a short walk (3 blocks) to the Stadium Armory metro station, (Potomac Ave. and Eastern Market stops are also close). In addition, this location is in walking distance to two Capital Bike Share stations, one ZipCar location, and several bus lines.

The residence comes with one dedicated parking space exclusively for your use and does not need a parking pass. The parking pad is located in the rear of the property.

Want an alternative to using a car to get here? From Reagan International Airport, Amtrak, or the Greyhound bus, catch the metro and walk directly to this location.

No smoking, drugs, parties, events, or pets.

This unit is on the second floor, guests must be able to walk up one flight of stairs to the second floor.

My neighbors are the best! Please be respectful and keep noise down, especially after 10 PM.

About Pete

I've been living in DC for about ten years now and love the cultural exchange the city offers. I have traveled to many different places around the country and love to meet new people. I have always made it priority to make sure my guests are happy with their experiences here. Once I hosted a German family who left the apartment spotless with a bouquet of flowers on the table saying “Vielen Dank!”

I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, horseback riding, the arts, or just spending quiet time at home with family and friends. I also love experiencing the city vicariously through the exciting (and often humorous!) stories of my guests.

Wonderful Stay in D.C.!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful stay in D.C. Pete was very accommodating. The apartment was nice, clean and quiet. It was easy for us to get in and out, this includes check out and check in. We stayed during the winter and had the heat on, which was not at all loud for us! The bed was extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay an additional night and Pete was very accommodating for our needs for that as well. I would not even hesitate to stay again! Thank you very much!

Nice apt with good location and parking.

  • 4 of 5

This apt. is very comfortable - good bed and nice space. Just as pictured. The back stairs are certainly tricky so be ready. The parking is great to have and one of the reasons I chose it. For the two of us it was VERY nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the noise of the heating unit. If you need to have heat (or a.c. as well I imagine) when you are sleeping it will make it difficult because of the noise. We made it work by turning the heat WAY down at night which kept it off. I don't know what's to be done but thought I would mention it.
