I am born and rasied in Montana. I joined the Army and served all over the worlds and came to realized Western Montana is the best. The last Best Place for sure!
Robert Underwood or Angela Kramer purchased this cabin in 2008
This is a great place to enjoy the outdoors, like skiing, snowmobiling, (ice) fishing, hiking and/or mountian biking or just to relax while making some good food and enjoying a glass of wine.
This cabin is quiet and has a very homey feeling about it. Discovery Ski Area is only 5 minutes away with the Anacoda Snowmobile Club trails starting right down the road. Great view of the lake and within walking distance to it.
The drain in the basement dried up and there was a smell for one of the weekends but that has been fixed.
We recently stayed at the cabin and it is a stay we will always remember. Our second night there we were getting ready for bed and our daughter went in to labor three weeks early! We made a quick trip back to Helena and our first grandchild was born the next day. When I let Robert know that we were not going to be at the cabin for a few days he offered to extend our stay for two days as a gift. What a generous offer! Our daughter, son in law and new grandson were able to get back to the cabin for the last two days and enjoy the peace and quiet for some special "bonding" time.
We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Although I would consider it "rustic", it has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The owner is responsive and easy to work with. We definitely plan on a return trip.
We were a family of five plus grandparents and the home was more than spacious. We found everything in working order and more than accommodating to our party of seven. It was easy to find and had plenty of parking space.
Several friends and I decided to take a trip to Georgetown just to get away from life for awhile. After reserving Robert's cabin the excitement began to build. From the photos on VRBO we could already tell the accommodations would be top-notch. Well after arriving I can say we severely underestimated how truly amazing this cabin was. While the pictures are nice, they don't do the cabin enough justice, our entire group lives and recreates in Montana, and we have all stayed in a wide variety of locations when enjoying the outdoors. I can speak for everyone in my group when I say this cabin is one of the best we have ever been in or used. It was truly enjoyable to return this very inviting home after a cold day of ice-fishing and skiing around the Georgetown Lake. I would recommend this location to anyone if you truly want enjoy all this area has to offer. I would also like to say Robert was very easy to work with and extremely helpful in answering any questions I might have had. Cheers!!!
We stayed at the cabin during Thanksgiving weekend. Great accommodations and fit our group well. We look forward to returning in the future.
Thought the cabin was just great. My wife, daughter and 2 grandkids had plenty of room. Owner clearly tried to provide you with absolutely everything you would be likely to need during your stay. Would recommend it highly and would not hesitate to rent it again in the future.
The cabin was lovely! We had plenty of room for 6 adults and one baby. I was so impressed with all the wonderful antiques from the master bed to the lamps and tables. It took a while to appreciate all the work that went into this cabin. With three floors everyone had space. We certainly enjoyed the warm and comfortable family room in the lower level. Quick access to the main road and Seven Gables Restaurant were a bonus.
