Beautiful Lake House!

  • 5 of 5

The property was beautiful. Furniture was very comfy! Both kitchens were well stocked. Swimming off the dock and the private beach was a hit for the kids! No complaints... it was a great week! I would definetly rent it again! Highly recommended! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home! We loved it!

What a wonderful week!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at Rosemary's lake house from August 14-21, 2016. We had such a wonderful time together there. We were 10 adults and 2 young kids and the house was plenty of room for all of us. It has a very cozy feel. The lake is nice and clean as well and great for swimming. There's lots of seaweed around the pier, but as long as you swim off the end of it you won't feel or see any. The beach area was also great for the 2 young kids who were with us. The lake is very quiet - very few boats and other lake cottages. The house has a great deck area with seating for 10, which was great to have dinner on most nights. Both kitchens were also very well stocked and had all the cooking essentials we needed. Rosemary was also wonderful to work with. Anytime we needed anything at the house we called and she picked up the phone right away. We really enjoyed our time here and plan to be back next summer!

Great home. Only 321 days until we can go back.

  • 4 of 5

Rosemary (the owner) is very friendly and super easy to work with. We enjoyed our week in the house and will be returning next year.

Pros

- Property matched description of ad (there were no unpleasant surprises) and everything worked

- The house comfortably fit 11 adults and 7 babies / toddlers

- There were lots of TV's with cable

- The yard was spacious and there is a beautiful tree in the yard that offered some shade

- The all-sports-lake was warm, not very busy, and full of fish

- Coldwater City was nearby and had everything we needed for the week in terms of stores, restaurants, and entertainment

Cons

- The sandy beach area was steep to the water and there were a lot of big rocks in the water making it hard to use for many of our kids

- There was a lot of sea weed in the water

- Some of the furnishings and appliances were a bit dated. They all worked fine and Rosemary has said they plan on doing some updates in the next year.

- There is not a kitchen table in the house but the deck is big and had two big tables that we used for meals

Southern Michigan Splendor

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay and the lake was not too busy for skiing and tubing. It offers plenty of space for our children, their spouses and grandchildren. The view of the fireworks from the back deck was spectacular!! We are hoping to return again.

Large home, reasonably priced, can't wait go again

  • 5 of 5

Where to start...Rosemary was very easy to work with and what little problems did arise she was lightening quick to resolve. The house is an older house, but well kept so it gave us the cabin on the lake feel we were looking for. The queen bedding was very comfortable. All the tools we needed to cook with were there and they were in great condition. The sandy beach was great for the kids and so was the paddle boat. Coffee on the deck watching the sunrise was the best. If you are a skier this end of the lake was calm the entire Labor Day weekend. Finally if you like to fish bring your poles because there were all kinds of fish just under the dock. Thanks Rosemary we will be back.

Very nice house!

  • 3 of 5

The house was located in a very nice neighborhood, and well equipped with everything you could need. The house was very clean and well maintained on the inside. We brought our own speed boat, we wanted to enjoy the water while we were at the property. The only problem, was the geese and the droppings that they left behind. The grass was full of geese droppings, you could not walk to the water or dock without stepping in it (Maybe run a string in front of the water and around the dock to keep the geese off). The water was not kid friendly with rocks in front of the sandy beach area.

We did rent a pontoon from the campgrounds on the next lake up, with all the lakes that our connected it was a very pleasant ride.

I would recommend the house to family and friends, and renting again if I knew the geese dropping were not going to be a problem.

Thank you!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review we well make sure a geese fence is up next year to prevent the dropping in the yard.
