The most spectacular views of Lake Travis! Two Rivers is at the confluence of the Pedernales River and the Colorado River. Lake Travis at your finger tips. Bring your camera! We have: a large dock for you to enjoy kayaking, swimming, or tie your boat up to, gas grill, hot tub, firepit (bring your guitar), Stonehouse Vineyard 1,000 ft away, pool table, bocce ball, sleeps 8 comfortably, 25 minutes from civilization (if you need it!). We know you will enjoy your stay.
We built Two Rivers in 2007 and absolutely love it and enjoy sharing it! We hope you will enjoy our lake house, take care of it, and come back often! The pictures you have seen on this site were taken March of 2015 with a lake level of 628ft - the lake level as of 1/18/17 is 683! In the past 10 years we have never been unable to use our boat!
Our family had been boating and waterskiing around Pace Bend Park for a decade before we built Two Rivers. We loved the area so much we decided to make it a permanent part of our family's life.
The name we gave our lake house, Two Rivers, comes from the natural beauty and fantastic views created by the Pedernales and Colorado rivers flowing together. Very few properties are able to enjoy these views! Every room in the house has a view of water - honest!
We spent a long weekend at Two Rivers and enjoyed every minute. The house is located on one of the most beautiful points on the lake. The house is well stocked and comfortable. The owner was very accommodating and was genuinely interested in making sure we had a nice stay. He was very attentive and responsive. We brought our boat along and stayed busy skiing and swimming off the dock. We also enjoyed dinner overlooking the view of the lake in the evening and a nice soak in the hot tub. Lake Travis and Two Rivers are highly recommended by our family!
Property is well maintained. Pool table and hot tub are nice features to keep you entertained and relaxed. House is located away from the busiest traffic on the lake making it a perfect getaway.
My review is very mixed. First, I have stayed in rentals no less than 35+ times in the last 10 years. I spend a lot of my time on Lake Austin and Lake Travis (when it had water). We were very excited to be back on Lake Travis and this property looked very appealing online. The positive of it is the house and property are very clean and nice. I would guess the home owner lives there and leaves when its rented, but I could be wrong. There was food in the refrig when we arrived? This house would be perfect for someone wanting great views that has plans to visit the winery. This is not a good place to bring a boat or have lake activities (as I mentioned to the owner several times before we got there that was our plan). There are two boat ramps within 1/4 mile of the property (one is less than 500 feet away). Problem is the home owner won't give his rental people access to either, so you must travel 1 hour + round trip and pay to enter a park to launch your boat or jet skis. The owner basically yelled at me telling me I better not "TRESPASS" and use the launch next door. The owner makes it sound close by telling you its "only a mile away on the lake". The owner is very harsh to deal with. Every time I made communication it wasn't "friendly" at all. It was like he was nervous people were in his home. When we arrived, the sprinkler heads were off like someone was adjusting them. I didn't think much of it. At the end of the weekend, I get a message from the owner that we ran over them and he is taking out of my deposit. Not fair at all. The owner had left a jet ski in the slip over the weekend. I told him I was bringing two with me, so I moved his over and safely tied it up so we could use the lift. He sent me a picture and complained that I left his jet ski unattended. Who drives by and stalks us by taking pictures while we are there? Very uneasy feeling. The kitchen table chairs are barely hanging on. The wood is unglued on several chairs. Very unsafe, and I get the feeling he is waiting on someone to break them so he can take it out of their deposit. As I mentioned, I have stayed several places, and I don't get the feeling this owner is comfortable renting his property/home. Most of the time, the property owners are very easy going and want you to have a great time. They often have a book to sign and you can just tell they enjoy renting their property so folks can experience it. Won't be renting this place again.
We stayed over the Memorial weekend. The house is as described and more. It is clean, spacious and modern with every item you could possibly need. It felt like being home, only better because of the beautiful rivers and quiet area. It was especially nice that a master bedroom was located downstairs. Boating activity on the river was diminished, because of the rainy weather. However, when the sun broke, it was interesting to view the boats and jet skiers, watching them come from up the river in back of the house and then head up the Pedernales in front of the house, all while sitting in the hot tub. We enjoyed many card games at the large table on the back porch while it rained, played pool tournaments, and walked in the neighborhood past the vineyards. Although we didn't visit, it would have been fun to do a tasting at the winery and a zip line company was located not far from the house. From start to finish, the owners were very gracious and accommodating, even finding and promptly returning an earring we left behind. We have rented many homes over the years, but my adult children and spouses were already talking about returning before we left. Two Rivers is a Home Run!
As advertised. Very clean and cozy, loved the views. Will definitely return and hope to spend more time. Loved hanging out at the nearby winery and the privacy. Highly recommend.
We have stayed at Two Rivers several times, and will again! The view from the back yard, high above the lake where it is joined by the Pedernales, is beautiful and serene. The house is modern, luxurious and beautifully decorated. Down a long stairway there is a covered floating boat dock where you can lounge for hours, swim, fish or take your boat out for a ride. Next door is a community park with docks and a boat ramp. Two Rivers has it all!
If you are looking to relax then Two Rivers is all you need. If you need civilization, Two Rivers is only 25 minutes from Marble Falls to the West and 25 minutes from Hill Country Galleria to the East. Not to mention a 5 minute walk from the acclaimed and award winning Stonehouse Vinyard. Two Rivers has it all!
