About Two Rivers

We built Two Rivers in 2007 and absolutely love it and enjoy sharing it! We hope you will enjoy our lake house, take care of it, and come back often! The pictures you have seen on this site were taken March of 2015 with a lake level of 628ft - the lake level as of 1/18/17 is 683! In the past 10 years we have never been unable to use our boat!

Why Two Rivers chose Spicewood

Our family had been boating and waterskiing around Pace Bend Park for a decade before we built Two Rivers. We loved the area so much we decided to make it a permanent part of our family's life.

What makes this house unique

The name we gave our lake house, Two Rivers, comes from the natural beauty and fantastic views created by the Pedernales and Colorado rivers flowing together. Very few properties are able to enjoy these views! Every room in the house has a view of water - honest!

Amazing view and house

  • 5 of 5

When you arrive at two rivers and walk through the house you are greeted with an expansive view of Lake Travis which you can enjoy from the entire living area downstairs as well as two bedrooms in the upstairs. We played games all day on the back lawn enjoying this view (there are already many games out there, darts, cornhole, bocce ball, horseshoes, and we brought some of our own as well). The lake is a quick walk down the stairs to the dock where you can enjoy the water swimming and floating right off the dock. The stone house vineyard is close enough for a short walk or drive and enjoy a tasting. All 8 of us had a great time there and will definitely return in the future.

Amazing House! Amazing View! Amazing Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Two Rivers is simply amazing. The location of the house at the river crossing is spectacular, the pictures do not do it justice. The property itself is very cozy and comfortable, even with a large group of 9 people. We never had a dull moment. The owner has a pool table, bocce ball set, bag throwing set, horseshoe set, and an amazing dock from which to swim from, for those of us that couldn't just sit still. For those in our party that just wanted to relax, they had the covered patio, fire pit, hot tub, and 2nd floor deck areas to sit, relax and enjoy the amazing views. We also rented a boat, Liquid Thrillz, and they were able to deliver the boat to the dock. We will definitely be returning back to Two Rivers Property in the future and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for that perfect weekend get away.

Beautiful lake - wonderful house

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend at Two Rivers and enjoyed every minute. The house is located on one of the most beautiful points on the lake. The house is well stocked and comfortable. The owner was very accommodating and was genuinely interested in making sure we had a nice stay. He was very attentive and responsive. We brought our boat along and stayed busy skiing and swimming off the dock. We also enjoyed dinner overlooking the view of the lake in the evening and a nice soak in the hot tub. Lake Travis and Two Rivers are highly recommended by our family!

Beautiful house that is well stocked with all the amenities you will need to feel at home.

Property is well maintained. Pool table and hot tub are nice features to keep you entertained and relaxed. House is located away from the busiest traffic on the lake making it a perfect getaway.

Two Rivers Review

  • 1 of 5

My review is very mixed. First, I have stayed in rentals no less than 35+ times in the last 10 years. I spend a lot of my time on Lake Austin and Lake Travis (when it had water). We were very excited to be back on Lake Travis and this property looked very appealing online. The positive of it is the house and property are very clean and nice. I would guess the home owner lives there and leaves when its rented, but I could be wrong. There was food in the refrig when we arrived? This house would be perfect for someone wanting great views that has plans to visit the winery. This is not a good place to bring a boat or have lake activities (as I mentioned to the owner several times before we got there that was our plan). There are two boat ramps within 1/4 mile of the property (one is less than 500 feet away). Problem is the home owner won't give his rental people access to either, so you must travel 1 hour + round trip and pay to enter a park to launch your boat or jet skis. The owner basically yelled at me telling me I better not "TRESPASS" and use the launch next door. The owner makes it sound close by telling you its "only a mile away on the lake". The owner is very harsh to deal with. Every time I made communication it wasn't "friendly" at all. It was like he was nervous people were in his home. When we arrived, the sprinkler heads were off like someone was adjusting them. I didn't think much of it. At the end of the weekend, I get a message from the owner that we ran over them and he is taking out of my deposit. Not fair at all. The owner had left a jet ski in the slip over the weekend. I told him I was bringing two with me, so I moved his over and safely tied it up so we could use the lift. He sent me a picture and complained that I left his jet ski unattended. Who drives by and stalks us by taking pictures while we are there? Very uneasy feeling. The kitchen table chairs are barely hanging on. The wood is unglued on several chairs. Very unsafe, and I get the feeling he is waiting on someone to break them so he can take it out of their deposit. As I mentioned, I have stayed several places, and I don't get the feeling this owner is comfortable renting his property/home. Most of the time, the property owners are very easy going and want you to have a great time. They often have a book to sign and you can just tell they enjoy renting their property so folks can experience it. Won't be renting this place again.

Owner's Response: Two Rivers is disappointed that our 2015 Labor Day guests did not enjoy their stay with us. To our Future Guests: A. Two Rivers is a great place for water sports as we are 38 miles up-river from all the boat traffic! Unfortunately, the neighborhood association does not allow renters to use the neighborhood park boat ramps unless the owner is present (which can be arranged). B. Two Rivers informs all of its guests in writing as to all of the attributes and limitations of the property. There is a public boat ramp approx. 13 miles away (by car) but less than 1.5 miles by water from the Two Rivers dock. Coming from Austin, Dallas, or Houston the public ramp is only 5 miles off Hwy 71. C. Two Rivers has a two-car garage and a very large circular drive for parking vehicles. Parking heavy trucks on the lawn is not appropriate as it can (and has) damaged the irrigation system. D. The Two Rivers dock and lift are available to guests, if previously requested, as Two Rivers must make arrangements to relocate the boat. There is a two-jet-ski lift but one slip is permanently occupied with a Two Rivers jet ski. If previously requested, our guests are permitted to use the unoccupied space. E. The dining chairs have been repaired. F. Two Rivers has always provided its guests with a well stocked pantry, an "honor system" wine fridge, as well as a nice welcome basket and encourages its guests to relax and enjoy their stay. Two Rivers is not purely a rental property, but also the owners’ residence and the owners can only hope that all guests enjoy and maintain the property as they do. We look forward to your visit! "Fabulous" Two Rivers

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over the Memorial weekend. The house is as described and more. It is clean, spacious and modern with every item you could possibly need. It felt like being home, only better because of the beautiful rivers and quiet area. It was especially nice that a master bedroom was located downstairs. Boating activity on the river was diminished, because of the rainy weather. However, when the sun broke, it was interesting to view the boats and jet skiers, watching them come from up the river in back of the house and then head up the Pedernales in front of the house, all while sitting in the hot tub. We enjoyed many card games at the large table on the back porch while it rained, played pool tournaments, and walked in the neighborhood past the vineyards. Although we didn't visit, it would have been fun to do a tasting at the winery and a zip line company was located not far from the house. From start to finish, the owners were very gracious and accommodating, even finding and promptly returning an earring we left behind. We have rented many homes over the years, but my adult children and spouses were already talking about returning before we left. Two Rivers is a Home Run!
