1998 custom built 3 bedroom 2 bath vacation home.
This is a desirable vacation home built in 1998 very close to Lake Michigan on the west side of the Blue Star Memorial Highway just South of Glenn and north of downtown South Haven. The home is bright and sunny with Anderson wood windows and heated wood floors. There are three comfortable well appointed bedrooms. The Master Bedroom has a queen sleigh bed and a sliding glass door to the deck, an attached bathroom with a shower and laundry. The second bedroom has two twin beds. The second bedroom has two twin beds and the third a full size bed with a small adjoining room with a comfortable futon that can be used as a sofa or an additional bed. The futon is most suitable for a child or young adult.
This property provides a great access point to the Michigan Lakeshore and everything it has to offer including beaches, dining and summer events in South Haven and Saugatuck in a comfortable setting.
The home has large windows throughout and is very bright inside during the daytime. The back deck has a comfortable reclining deck chair and a round iron table with chairs and an umbrella.
We have a large back yard with a fire pit and benches, so if you want to stay at home and grill steaks, or make s'mores this is an excellent place.
The home is situated on five acres and has mowed walking trails into the timber. The Glenn Beach is a 5 minute drive and the lake is 6/10 of a mile as the crow flies. Other nearby beaches include Pier Cove, Oval Beach to the North, and to the South there are the beautiful South Haven Beaches The property is very close to several entrances to the Wau-Ke-Na William Erby Smith Nature Preserve which offers access to some breathtaking scenery and undiscovered access to the lake.
There is a lot of wildlife in the area: Whitetail deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, red fox and various species of songbirds can often be seen out the living room window.
There is free wifi internet, a 40" flat screen TV complete with an antenna and a DVD player. If you like music there is a Fischer turntable, a Rotel Receiver with Sansui speakers and a nice collection of LP records. I have a large collection to pull from so if you have a particular request I can leave something out for you!

As the crow flies our place is about 6/10 mile from Lake Michigan but I do not recommend walking through the woods to get there. It is 1.2 mile drive via 114th Avenue to the Glenn beach which has designated parking. The last part of the road is gravel as is the parking. From there there are a few steps with wide grass covered downhill path to the beach. The path is somewhat steep but fairly short from the parking spaces. Our guests like the location for the easy access to both South Haven and Saugatuck. South Haven is about 9 miles and Saugatuck is about 11 miles. The South Haven pier and lighthouse offers much easier access and is concrete. South Haven also offers a variety of dining options, ice cream parlors, etc. Saugatuck has some great dining as well and some nice walks along the docks where you can see the yachts.
