The unit's interior feels very inviting, boasting original hardwood floors, original fireplace mantles, and antique furnishings, creating a space that perfectly reflects the history and charm of New Orleans. Cute, charming, clean and such a great location!
We loved our stay at this cute and charming apartment so close to all the parade routes for Mardi Gras, and also the great restaurants and shops of Magazine Street. The house was spotless and our hosts were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
We are grateful that we could bring the dogs. The location is good and the unit is quiet in spite of two bars and a city park nearby. The internet and TV work well.
Unfortunately there are many deficiencies in this property: Both of the toilets are loose and rock; the lighting is inadequate everywhere; the sauna and bulky second-hand furniture make maneuvering hard; there is no space to hang clothes or put a suitcase; the sofas and chairs are not comfortable; there is a terrible stench from the colony of 30 or 40 cats down the street; we bought plates for the house the plastic dishes were so worn; baseboards, door handles and window sills were dirty; a poster and a large mirror were not mounted on the wall.
There are other small problems, but given this property cost as much as a premium hotel, I cannot recommend it at all. And if six people came, two would have to sleep on the floor as the settee-sofa is not a good choice for sleeping.
We would like to apologize that the property did not meet your expectations. We feel that the property was accurately portrayed in the listing description, equipped with antique furnishings and reflecting the history and charm of the city of New Orleans. This property is not a hotel, but offers many attractive amenities that a hotel simply cannot.

House is cute...BUT needs updating. If you are charging a premium price, the place needs to be spotless. Also beds need updated linens...pillows...etc. Need new towels. A better TV and although the furniture looks cool it is not comfortable. It is quite far from all the action as well. Way overpriced for what you get.

We've visited NOLA many times but never stayed in this part of the city. The location of the home is within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops and across the street from a park. It's not an area overrun by tourists so we enjoyed living more like locals in this leafy neighborhood. Since it was rainy and chilly most of the weekend we visited, we spent more time than we usually would indoors and it was relaxing to sit in the home's sauna.
