Come and enjoy the experience of a charming yet funky remodeled 1800's farmhouse. Listen to the brook and enjoy a glass of wine in front of the wood stove with your loved ones! Gaze at the stars from the bedroom window. Remember that life is meant to be savored!
Our home has 2 bedrooms and a sleeping nook. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed. One bedroom is a loft over the main sitting area and the other is a suite with it's own bathroom and jacuzzi tub. The sleeping nook has a full size bed and there is a twin daybed on the adjacent landing. There is a mudroom to put your boots and coats, a patio overlooking the lawn and a washer dryer. The second bathroom is adjacent to the kitchen with a claw footed tub and shower.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, cast iron pans and cooking utensils. We love to cook so you should find what you need to make a great meal! Other amenities include a washer and dryer and grill.
The house is in a quiet location off route 107 adjacent to Stony Brook and is just 20 minutes to Killington/Pico. Just down our road is the VAST trail network and the Appalachian trail. Our road is perfect for mountain biking, snowmobiling, ATV's and walking...there is something for everyone!
The surrounding area also offers hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, biking, horseback riding, and fishing. You can swim and tube in the White River and there are two golf courses within 15 minutes.
We hope you come and enjoy our idyllic haven and make it yours for a week or weekend!

We fell in love with the house!
Walking into our house is like sinking into a warm bath. I love to get away from the city to experience the quiet and contemplative nature of the house and surrounding area.
I wanted to thank you again for your hospitality in letting us ENJOY your lovely home for the weekend! The place is very quaint and quiet and sits right on the river which was perfect! The conditions at Killington were amazing, we even went back Sunday after we straightened up the place! It was like a home away from home and we couldn't have asked for more! We are absolutely in love with the area as well.
Absolutely LOVED our stay. Myself and a few friends from work took the weekend off to hit the slopes at Killington and we could not have been more happy with our stay. Location is about 25 minutes from the mountain, it's just removed enough for privacy but close enough that everything is nearby- you pass through town each day on the way to the slopes which is super convenient. Cozy, surprisingly big, well stocked kitchen, comfy, and it even had some awesome board games. Would rate 6 stars if I could.
This house was the perfect spot for a relaxing winter weekend away. The house is spacious, yet cozy; rustic, yet in possession of all the necessary modern amenities. It was a lovely space to come back to from a snowy hike and then settle into a night of games and local craft beers by the fire. Highly recommended.
Perfect location for our foliage trip. On a secluded mountain road with a babbling brook we could hear, yet close to major attractions, and easy to reach all the way North on a day trip. Funky design and layout, and my kids even loved playing the electric piano.
The Stockbridge Home is not only a gorgeous, wonderfully equipped accommodation ... it is in a beautiful part of Vermont - easily accessible from the highway and just ten minutes away from cute restaurants/towns, but tucked away on a small, winding road and surrounded by nature. Everything about our stay was perfect. My only regret is that the visit was too short. We already are talking about a college roommate reunion ... just so we can get another opportunity to indulge in this lovely spot. Suzanne made the logistics easy and seamless. Next time, we'll take better advantage of the accoutrements she offers! (I'm still sorry I didn't get to enjoy some fresh eggs and veggies.)
The house was what we expected and wanted: comfortable, tasteful, with a well stocked kitchen and a washer and dryer. A bonus was the outside patio and the river, which even though it was across the road, could be heard. Go to the co-op/market in South Royalton for groceries and Cockadoodle in Bethel for pizza.
Our stay in Stockbridge went well. The house is nice, but a little quirky. It has plenty of space for entertaining. There are numerous places to sleep. The quirkiness lies in the 2 spiral staircases to 2 of the bedrooms, one of which has regular stairs also. There is not much privacy and the headroom is low in spots. The location was good for us, and the house was clean Overall, a good vacation house.
