Throughout the past two centuries Charleston finest families would spend the summer months on Sullivan’s Island to escape the heat and stagnant air of downtown Charleston. This is still true today where at 3204 Marshall you will find the perfect combination of historic Charleston with modern construction. Built in 1985, 3204 Marshall has many truly unique features. The floors of the home are actually over 150 years old. They were removed from a home built in the 1800’s in the historic district downtown and moved to the Sullivan’s Island home as well as many other items such as the front porch materials, entry door way and specialty glass. They have been beautifully refinished and help make 3204 Marshall not only a beautiful one, but a part of history. History does not end with the materials used for the homes construction. 3204 Marshall sits where Breach Inlet meets the Atlantic, the site of many historic events. In June of 1776 a force of 780 Patriots defeated Cornwallis and 3,000 British Professional Soldiers from fortifications built where 3204 Marshall is located today. And if you were standing on the porch of 3204 Marshall on February 17, 1864, you would have seen the CSA Hunley (the world’s first submarine) cruise in front of the home on its way to sink the USS Housatonic. The historic nature of this wonderful home is another treasure you will find during your vacation to 3204 Marshall Blvd.
During your vacation to 3204 Marshall Blvd. you will feel that you are staying in a feature of a Pat Conroy Novel such as the Prince of Tides or Beach Music or Dorothea Benton Frank novel Sullivan’s Island. You will spend your days and evenings on the expansive screen porch that features numerous opportunities to relax from a dining area and rocking chairs to a hammock ideally located to capture the afternoon breeze. Just off the screen porch you will find a manicured lawn leading you down to a beach that is practically private since access to it is so limited. Swimming is not allowed off the beach at 3204 Marshall due to tidal currents, but just around the corner (100 yards away) you will find the water inviting for you and your family to enjoy. The best yet is the private swimming pool. 3204 Marshall is located on a triple lot, so where ever you go in the yard, on the beach or at the pool your family may feel that they are the only one’s on the island.
The interior of 3204 Marshall is equal to the beauty offered outside looking towards the ocean. The property owners of this special home have paid attention to the smallest detail to make their home one of the best memories your family will have on vacation. Every room is coordinated and beautifully appointed and features 3,090 square feet of living space. Probably, one of the treasures you will enjoy most is master bath. The kitchen treasures include a gas stove, subzero refrigerator, and plenty of room to entertain as you prepare the night’s gourmet meal. The living room has comfortable seating and a beautiful fireplace.
Where nature gifts to you during your stay will be the sound of waves, the fresh salt air, sea shells of all sorts of shape and colors, and sunsets over the salt grass marsh, 3204 Marshall will provide you treasures only found in one of the most beautiful and historic vacation homes on the Island.

Spent a week at this property in Aug/Sept 2009. It's a great location and the house is great. Loved sitting on the porch waiting the sunrises. Everyone had a great time cooling off in the pool. The kitchen and dining area are the perfect size for 6 adults and 2 children. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a beautiful, relaxing place to spend a week or more.
Family just checked in. All the good reviews are the owners friends that stay for free. Place is old. Looks run down. Needs paint and repairs. Fridge shelves are rusty- really. TV in den is very old tube/flat screen, maybe 32". Tv in one bedroom is the ONLY OTHER TV in the house. Wall is damaged in bathroom from water damage - needs repair. Low budget hotel looks better kept. Amazed that a professional property management company represents this house. Beach access is treacherous. Broken concrete blocks to navigate.
This was our second year at this fabulous beach house. The swimming pool and grounds are very nice and well-maintained. The views are outstanding. The house was very tidy and comfortable and the porch is an added bonus! We are looking forward to returning in the very near future.

This property was charming and cozy. The porch provided wonderful views and comfortable seating even in the cool temps we experienced in late March. The house itself was well-equipped, attractive, and interesting. The architecture and antiques added to the homey ambiance that we preferred to a more traditional beach house. The beach itself was large enough for our crew and delightfully private. We were hoping to stay in another house that's views are intoxicating, but this house had views of it's own and we fell in love with the charm of Sully's.
