Staying in this home was an amazing experience that only added positive memories to out PEI trip. The house was very clean and well kept . The kitchen was stocked full of necessities and even more special extras provided by Sandra to ensure a relaxing and welcoming arrival. Our party of 7 fit very comfortably in this spacious home. Aside from the very comfortable interior was the impressive exterior. The large deck, was perfect for morning coffee, afternoon cocktails and evening barbeques. The yard is private with large trees to give you the feeling of being in your own paridise in PEI after a busy day of golfing and touring. Highly recommended.
Travelled from Alberta and stayed with family from Cape Breton for a family wedding. Sandra provided a fantastic "maritime welcome" with fresh tulips on the table and homemade muffins. The cupboard and fridge held snacks and drinks to get us started! The home was fantastic and was a "hit" for the rehearsal dinner accommodating a gathering of 60 people. The backyard provided a beautiful setting for both the party barbeque and pictures for the next morning of the groom and his attendants prior to going to the church. A perfect choice!!!
Traveling from California to Canada for the first time with a family of 10 including a 3 yr old and a 20 month old was a task in itself. Arriving in Canada at 12:30am with no stores open and being extremely exhausted, it was amazing to walk in to what we called our home away from home! Sandra had delicious homemade muffins and fresh fruit out for us, as well as necessities in the fridge to get through the night until we could go shopping. The home was so welcoming, beautiful and kid friendly with books, toys, a baby gate etc.! Way better than staying in a hotel and so much more comfortable! We could not have asked for a better stay! Thank you Sandra for making our family so comfortable during our stay in Canada!!
Thank you for ensuring this was our home while attending an "Island Wdding" for a Calgary bride and groom. We very much appreciate all the welcoming things you did by knowing just what we would need for our comfort. It has been an exceptional experience and yes it was truly a "Country Home in the City". Just everything one would need or want is here along with an excellent place to gather as family.
My husband and I were travelling to PEI from BC with our 10 month-old for the first time. After a long plane ride with a teething baby, walking in to Sandra's home was just what we needed (all three of us!). I literally gave a sigh of relief when I entered the door because it was as if I had just walked through the front doors of my own home - so bright, comforting, and welcoming.
Sandra had left us some wine, coffee, bagels, and a few other treats. I had told her that we weren't able to bring our travel bed for the baby, so she had a crib set up for us when we arrived.
The house was immaculately kept, much cleaner than a hotel, or even my home in BC, and lovingly decorated. There were towels and linens aplenty. It was particularly nice to be able to do laundry whenever we needed. The beds were very comfortable - you could tell the bed spread, pillows, sheets, etc. were new; no flat pillow or scratchy wool blankets!
I have not one negative comment to make. Without hesitation, we will absolutely book with Sandra again.
We were completely taken aback when we walked into the house. The pictures do not do it justice. The house was huge and immaculately clean.
On the kitchen counter was a note to welcome us and a plate of homemade (yummy) muffins. The fridge had been stocked for our arrival with milk, cream , peanut butter some beer and a bottle of wine. There was a container of coffee and tea as well. No need to hit the grocery store after a long day of travelling
The bedrooms are huge and beds super comfortable. Plenty of closet space as well. The bathrooms had tons of towels, blow drier and beautiful hand-soap. The hot water was plentiful and water pressure high.
The location makes travelling around the island very easy. There are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The neighbourhood is lovely for a stroll as well
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend highly
