I am an active retired science teacher; love cycling, kayaking, sailing, birding, dune wildflowers, xc skiing, and backpacking. Grew up sailing in Hingham Harbor, MA and visiting the family home on the Cape.
Martha Fisher purchased this house in 1985
My parents passed down our Chatham family cottage to me. I have sweet memories of walking daily with our children to Cow Yard Lane Town Landing to gather estuary critters for our kitchen aquarium jar, cycling to the penny candy store and library downtown, cycling the bike trails through the sandy dunes of the Provincelands in Provincetown, and draft beer and Monomoy steamers at The Squire.
The views of Pleasant Bay, North Beach, and the Atlantic in the distance from the kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and huge deck beckon me to get out and play by the ocean.
This property has the old world charm of the original Cape Cod home. The colonial decor and flow of the floor plan gives the feel of openness. The key to this property is its location and views! A nice quiet neighborhood yet very close to town, lighthouse beach, bike trials, fishing pier, landing access for kayaks, paddle boards and so much more. The view of the bay through the trees is hypnotic. The sound of the surf at night is wonderful. Slept 10 people with no problem. Would absolutely rent again!!!
