|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
Airy, light and quiet one bedroom (plus pull out sofa bed) suitable for 2-4 people overlooking the harbour - five minutes walking distance away from some of Nice's best restaurants and bars as well as the antiques quarter, 200m from La Reserve and Coco beach. The Old Town of Nice is 15 minutes away. Comes with air conditioning, small terrace and beautiful French windows that open out onto the inner garden of the residence and the harbour. Kitchen is fully equipped, including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, microwave etc. There is a bus to and from the airport that stops almost in front of the apartment, and ample parking space at the port. We've decorated this apartment with care and attention to detail - we hope you love it as much as we do!
Renaud is a born and bred Niçois, Saskia a Brit-German. We live in London right now, but Renaud's mum will meet and greet you. We'll give you all the insider tips you need in order to make the most of your time in Nice. We speak English, French, German, Spanish, and a little bit of Arabic.
Renaud and Saskia purchased this apartment in 2015
Renaud was tipped off about this apartment and literally bought it a day later. The location is simply amazing - all the best parts of Nice are close by or within walking distance (including the Old Town, the beach, great bars and restaurants), but the apartment itself and the area around it is quiet and convenient to get to.
The view! And those lovely wooden shutters. We gutted and completely redid the apartment, so everything inside is new and done according to our specifications.
My family of 4 had a wonderful stay in Nice at the home of Renaud & Sauskia. Renaud was very responsive from the beginning and provided good guidance and tips to help us manage our trip in Nice better. We were greeted by friendly Renaud at the apartment with a big smile, lots of information and a bottle of Rose in the frig!
The apartment was perfect for our family. It was clean, tastefully decorated and recently remodeled so it had very modern amenities, but still had old world French charm with the windows and balconies. The space was a little smaller than the pictures could depict but adequate for our needs. There is a sliding door to divide the bedroom from living area which is best left open to get air conditioning to the remaining space where our children slept. Probably could use a couple extra chairs for added sitting comfort after a long day of adventures in Nice and surrounding areas but we made do.
As for location, it could not get much better! Sitting right along the port, we had view of the Port and Sea and the famous Castle Hill across the way. Little supermarket below the building was an added benefit, but we found there was a Monop' (little grocery store of the big Monoprix) and great boulangeries (Trip Advisor pointed us in this direction) about 10 minutes walking just above the port. Renaud suggested we take a little FREE boat to cross the port to reduce our walk time around to the other side. This was very helpful, but when there is a long wait (the mate only takes up to 5-6 people on the boat at a time) it is probably best to just walk on the inner port and view all the beautiful yachts which is only about 7 minutes to walk. The rental apartment was in the perfect location so we could walk along the seafront, in through the tiny bustling streets of Vieux Nice, hit one of many beaches or get train or bus #100 (5 minutes away at the end of the port) to visit neighboring towns like Antibes, Villefranche-sur-mer, Menton and Monaco (which I highly recommend if you have time). The location was also nice as it was generally quiet - although you might hear an announcement each morning from the big boat boarding passengers in the port but that was a good wake up call for us anyway so we could start our adventures.
All in all, we were very pleased with our stay and would be happy to stay again should we return! Thank you Renaud & Sauskia!
A beautiful little flat with all the essentials, comfortable beds and a good shower. Quiet location with the life of the port going on outside the french windows. Really responsive owners and a warm welcome with some great recommendations for outings and restaurants. But also lovely to stay in and eat dinner with a view across the harbour.
The flat was in an excellent location and equipped well for people on vacation.
Rooms were clean and neat. The bathroom was excellent and featured a nice shower.
Windows opened out to a lovely courtyard and the beautiful harbor.
Hosts were most welcoming, warm, informative, and helpful in every way.
We would stay here again, no question, and recommend to our friends without reservation.
We loved this location on the Quai, a 10-15 minute walk to Vieux Nice, much quieter than central areas and we loved watching the boats. The apartment opens to a pleasant courtyard with view of the water over the rooftops. It was a pleasure working with the owner to book this apartment, we appreciated his timely communication. We had everything we needed in this small efficient, very clean space, laundry, soap, hairdryer, and coffee. Michelle, his Mom, met us at the apartment and gave us a very complete orientation of the apartment and lots of great touting suggestions. Thank you Michelle for the Corsica suggestions, we had a great time! Thank you Renaud for sharing your apartment, we hope to see you again!
The whole experience of staying at Renaud's apartment was excellent. Communication before arrival was prompt and helpful - with Renaud going out of his way to arrange car parking which was incredibly useful. Arriving at the flat you are met by Renaud's mother who was very helpful and friendly-giving advice from what the best beach is to where to get the best meals out. The apartment was of a very high standard -air con, washing machine etc. and faultlessly clean. The position was brilliant - restaurants/bars less than 5 minutes walk, views across the old port-plenty of super yachts to look at and only ten minutes walk into Vieux Port. I would recommend this apartment to friends and family without any doubt-and would use it again if staying in Nice.
We had great days in Nice partly thanks to the place we choose to stay and the rest for the fantastic city. The apartment has very good location, there are good restaurants, supermarket, bus stop very close. It is not so far to walk to the beach as well. The apartment is very well maintained and clean, everything looks like brand new, I would just suggest to have more table dressing things available.
Additionally the owner provided us all the support, information and attention needed. Thanks to Renaud and his lovely Mom.
As a tip, there is a parking available very close (at harbour) but is expensive, there are cheaper options to park in the surrounding streets but it is really hard to find a place, but along Blv Franck Platte towards Parc Vigier is possible to find free parking if you don´t mind to walk 400 to 600m.
