We love this property and would love to share it with our guests. Please get in touch with us and book your stay.
As an Army family of six, we had the opportunity to travel around the world, but are thrilled to have finally settled down in Colorado Springs.
Debra Gerdin purchased this cabin in 2002
We fell in love with Colorado Springs and this property 13 years ago. This particular cabin is one of seven cabins, which were built in 1925, on six and a half acres of forested land. Although we have fully renovated the 90 year old homes, their history remains largely intact.
We will do what we can to insure our guests a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
With a family of 7, this cabin was perfect. Clean, comfortable, spectacular views, close to town yet surrounded by trees, privacy, beautiful kitchen and all the extras and then some! Puzzles and games for the little ones. Enough space for us all yet we were able to keep an eye on everyone. Loved the sitting area in the master bedroom. Roasting marshmallows outside was a super treat. Thank you for creating this wonderful cabin so we may have awesome memories with our family. Where you stay can break or make one's vacation and this for sure made it!
This cabin is located in NE Colorado Springs. It's about 30 minutes from most attractions you would want to visit but it's very easy to find your way around the area. It's located on Black Forest road, which at times is highly traveled. With that being said, it is still beautiful and peaceful with a fabulous view of Pikes Peak. There are two decks and another area next to a fire pit to enjoy outdoors. If you chose to stay indoors, there is no road noise as the cabin is very quiet. The owners do a great job of staying in touch to attend to your needs. However, the cabin is stocked with literally everything you could possibly need. Blender, iron, first aid kit... you name it, it's in the cabin. Don't pass this cabin up if you're in the Springs. We will be staying here again ASAP! Thanks, Gerdin family for sharing it with us.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We took our three children ages 20, 16 and 14. We made some great memories and hope to come back again. It was much nicer to stay in a home rather than a hotel. Rachel made sure all our needs were met and made sure if we needed anything else that we could contact her.
Our family of six was here for USAFA Parent'S Weekend 2016, and this cabin was the perfect place to stay! Only 20 minutes from the North Gate of the Academy, we were able to get to and from events easily. The cabin was beautifully decorated inside with everything we all needed to stay comfortably, and it even had a stocked game closet. We started every day with coffee and hot chocolate on one of two decks admiring the spectacular views of Pikes Peak, and ended our days roasting s'mores around the fire pit. The owner Debra was so friendly and quick to answer all of our questions. There was even laundry facilities in the cabin next door so we could have clean clothes to pack. We will definitely return for future events!
The perfect cabin, away from town but close to shopping. Great amenities and lotsa wildlife. We will be back this winter
We loved this old fashioned cottage with all the necessary amenities. This owner went above and beyond as far as the stuff left in the cottage. We had/prepared a lot of our meals at this property and it was great to have some of the necessities such as olive oil or spices and not have to forego any items. They also had soaps (including shampoo, etc) and hair dryers and stuff we had not expected, but appreciated.
Rachel, the property manager, stopped by to introduce ourselves and to let us know if anything came up.
We really loved the place, but we had not planned the best in selection due to location. Everything we had planned to do was on the Southwest side of the city and this was on the Northeast side, but it is away from most of the commotion (off a busy road), still only about a 30 minute drive to Garden of the Gods and other attractions. Again not the cottages fault, but a beautiful view from any of the three outside seating areas and close to any modern conveniences.
Again, beautiful property and beautifully redone - made our other stop a little disappointing. We would love to stay here again or find more places with the character and charm and amenities this rental had.
