#6, 115 South Meridith was comfortable ... but needs some work.

  • 4 of 5

This flat could easily earn top marks if the owner really cared about it and undertook some repairs, such as:

o Replace missing door knobs on closet & kitchen doors.

o Replace the air conditioner filter.

o Repair holes in the balcony's screen door.

o In the bathroom, repair the sliding glass doors of the compartment below the mirror.

o Improve the TV screen's reception.

The positives:

o Kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of cupboard space.

o Clothes closets are spacious.

o Bed is large & comfortable.

o Bathroom is well-stocked with towels.

o Owner is responsive to requests (e.g. iron, ironing board, extra bed sheets).

o Flat is conveniently located within walking distance to nearby fast-food outlets, restaurants, and food market).

Vacation in Pasadena

  • 4 of 5

Our stay in Pasadena was very pleasant. The location of our property on Meredith Street was ideal as it was within walking distance to the Huntington Library, the California Technical Institute, and many wonderful shops and restaurants. The unit was bright and sunny, fully carpeted, and had plenty of hot water and storage space.

The property was very clean and perfect for a summer stay. Glendy was very helpful with the move in/out process. I definitely would stay there again!

This property was absolutely consistant with its description in HomeAway.

I had a very pleasant experience in this apartment. It was clean, nicely furnished with modern decor and on a quiet tree-lined street. The building was secure and the on-site parking made coming home at night feel very safe and comfortable. It is an easy drive down to the center of town, and one can also take a bus for a very minimal fare. There are a number of restaurants and stores within walking distance of the apartment. The only problem I had was with the large television which had a confusing method of operating and thus I was unable to watch certain programs I wished to watch. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Pasadena for a while.

Stay Away

  • 1 of 5

This apartment is noisy, shabby, rundown and poorly stocked. The pipes for the apartment building produce loud noises in the bedroom all night long, making sleep nearly impossible. The apartment is cheaply furnish and in a poor state of disrepair, with missing knobs on cabinets and cracks in the tile floors. The kitchen is old and has no dishwasher. The apartment is not well stocked, containing only a few child-sized, beat-up looking forks and a lack of other utensils, dishes and pots that you would normally expect in a rental (no strainer, no cork-screw, no large pots or bowls, only 3 glasses). Weird. You can do better in terms of a rental so look elsewhere.

Owner's Response: We have had many satisfied guests in this apartment, however we did not know how to accommodate the needs of this guests. This guest was ultra sensitive to noise and had severe insomnia. The neighborhood and apartment building is very quiet, and she was the first and only person to ever make complaints about noises in the walls, which we did not know how to address. This guest also took some items from the apartment (i.e. kettle, hair dryer, etc.), but we did not deduct any security deposit.
