I just may want to keep this a secret.

Not sure I want to tell you about this since we loved it so much and may want to keep this little cottage on the Platte all to ourselves.

From the moment we walked in the front door we felt the stress melt away and the relaxation begin. The Platte is beautiful and wraps around the house on three sides so you feel like you are all alone in your own private resort.

Our group consist of my husband, mother-in-law, three boys (14, 12, 11) and myself. There was plenty of room for all of us and my oldest loved sleeping out on the screened in porch on an air mattress which we brought along with us. Even though we only had one full bath it worked out perfect and we never lacked hot water for everyone to take a shower.

The boys spend a lot of time on the Platte fishing with regular poles and fly fishing. They loved watching the fish jump when the hatch happend. They also tubbed the river many days and were able to help their grandmother tick this event off of her bucket list. It was fun since they could be dropped off up the road to float back to the cottage or float from the cottage and were picked up down the way. They would have loved to do this more but we were in town for a four day regatta on Crystal Lake.

The cottage itself was cozy and had everything we needed for our week long stay. We loved the screened in porch which we used all the time to sit and listen to the river while spending family time together. You could hear the river from every room in the house and I loved falling to sleep listening to it at night.

There was plenty of room outside to sit and have dinners and for the boys to have bonfires. Very safe for all families with any age children.

Our only regret is that we had to leave. Wish we could have had more time to make more family memories. Already looking for a time that will work for our family next year.

Beautiful setting. Quiet with no neighbors and only the sound of the river. House was spacious and clean with a view of the river from every room.
