Do you want a getaway vacation rental that comfortably hosts eight guests in a pristine waterfront luxury home? This Puget Sound Villa is one of a kind. A full acre of privacy, hot tub, waterfront, sandy/stone beach and wide views across majestic Puget Sound.
In 1792 Captain George Vancouver explored the immense inland water way of what later became Washington State and sent lieutenant Peter Puget off in rowing craft to survey the area. Vancouver was so impressed with young Puget that he named the entire inlet in his honor.
The home has a large deck with a beautiful breathtaking view and a naturally lit interior. In summer you may spend your entire visit sitting on the deck with a cold drink and good book. But you may not finish the book because you'll be distracted by the boats and ship that ply the water directly off shore.
In winter the view may be even more stunning and you can watch it all from inside the floor to ceiling windows, while curled up next to one of the three fireplaces. Or watch your favorite show on one of the large flat screen televisions.
But don't forget that book, because spending time in the Villa is the perfect time to relax and slow down.
When it is time to eat, the gourmet kitchen has everything you need to make most any exciting treat. But you may also want to walk down the beach to Salty's, one of Seattle's most famous restaurants. They are known for great local ingredients including fish (of course), steaks and other delights.
The Villa's back yard feels like a front yard because it faces directly out to the Sound and includes a wide very well tended yard and gardens. Big enough for badminton or other yard games. The lush foliage keeps the yard and home nicely private from neighbors.
From there you descend stairs to another small lawn area directly on the beach. A built in charcoal BBQ pit ensures you wont have to climb stairs to eat. At high tide the water laps directly below the lower yard and at low tide you can walk the stony sand beach in either direction. There is nothing more soothing than a day on this beach.
For great fun during low tide, walk the beach to the Redondo Beach boardwalk and pier - a sun filled pleasant stroll. Visit the Marine Science's aquarium open every Saturday middays.
The beach is flat enough that you can bring your boat and anchor directly off shore. Passengers can jump aboard without wetting their toes.
Each Bedroom in Puget Sound Villa boasts quality comfortable beds, luxury linens and amenities. The bathrooms are modern, the towels large and fluffy, amenities are well stocked and like the rest of the home, bathrooms are always hospitality clean.
There is parking for up to four cars, two of which can fit under cover. Access from main streets is easy, as you drive down the wide drive and directly to the home. With advance permission we can host lunch or dinner get-togethers of up to 20 people.
As you look for the best luxury vacation rental in the area, be sure to consider our Puget Sound Villa. No expense has been spared in making this the ideal Seattle area luxury home. Come stay a weekend, a week or longer.
This is a perfect getaway if you are looking for a quiet vacation filled with entertaining activities.
Puget Sound Villa is a perfect location for indoor and outdoor entertainment. For a cozy stay in or outdoor activites this home offers three fire places, a large deck with a great sweeping view, a pathway of stairs to the water front, closely located to Redondo beach, Seatac, and Salty's.
After reading the other reviews I was hesitant to rent this home but it looked like the type of home I needed. When we called the manager about broken items and things not working he wanted to change the subject about how many people we had staying there. He said it was only my husband and me. I checked my emails and I had forgot to click the box with the kids but the email that was right under it stated that there would be 3 foster kids with us, so I guess they don't read the emails. So I get back to the matter of the BBQ, it was rusted out and could not be used, there was mold all over all of the tools just awful. I told him I was having my kids and grand kids over for a BBQ and now I cant use it, he informed me that the occupancy is only 12 people. I told him that there was only 5 people occupying the home and he told me that it also included anyone on the property. I was really upset but since the BBQ was unusable we made other plans at the last minute. My husband stayed behind because maintenance was to come and fix things. They did not show so my husband joined us about 7 pm. When we returned, maintenance had come by and put a new propane tank on the BBQ...what?? They also tried to fix a recliner and left a broom for us to use. Talk about a joke, we laughed so hard because the BBQ will not work no matter how much propane you use lol. The recliner was not fixed, we sat in it and reclined and it still would not go back in. My son came over and fixed it for us. My son also tried to use the propane so we could take pics and it was so tight that he could not open the valve, he even used a wrench. The place was dirty when we arrived, we called and nothing was done. The comforters on the beds smelled like they never get washed. The hot tub was filthy with mold and dirt in the bottom. The pool table only has one cue stick. There is no space in the cupboards for you groceries. And to top it off you cannot have visitors! I have never rented a place that people can not come over. I rent homes about 4 times a year for the last 4 to 5 years and this is the worst I have seen and the management leaves little to be desired. Will not be renting this house or any other that uses this company. I would not recommend this home to anyone.
This property is absolutely beautiful with amazing views of Puget Sound. The accommodations were comfortable with a well stocked kitchen (lots of plates, cups, pans, etc).
We did have a minor issue shortly after we arrived - the handle on one of the toilets broke. I called the manager number provided and it was fixed a short time later. Great customer service.
Overall I would gladly recommend this property and in fact our group would love to book it again next year!
Wonderful, large, outdoor space with fabulous view. Roomy, bright, interior common spaces also. Comfortably furnished, not luxurious, but fine, updated. Walking distance to a nice restaurant...bonus!
The single star is for the view from the balcony in the back yard – simply stunning, especially at sunset. The rest of the home leaves much to be desired.
Felt like a very basic hotel room. Nothing on the walls in any of the rooms. Only two of the bedrooms had any type of dresser.
Lighting in the house was awful – only track lights which ran down the center beam of living room/dining room at a brightness level that was blinding. Nothing warm or inviting about it. Much the same for bedrooms.
Furniture in the living rooms (upstairs and down) was comfortable but there was no cable TV (or we couldn’t get it to work) so unless you have a Netflix account, etc., you were pretty much without.
The house only has beds for 8 despite the VRBO web page claim of beds for 8 to 12.
The house has no air conditioning and we were there during one of the hottest weeks of the summer – it was almost unbearable inside during the day and early evening.
The sliding screen door to the balcony was bent and barely movable making access to and from the balcony difficult.
The stairs from the backyard down to the water had a broken step with no warning that it was broken-almost injured the first one of us going down that way.
The icing on the cake was that the property management firm (All Around Seattle/iStay.net) that handled the property for the owner – was and is simply the worst. After initially agreeing to rent the property (naively believing the “beds for 8 to 12 people” statement on the VRBO web site) I discovered the property had only beds for 8 – I was bringing 10 people. I called All Around Seattle to discuss the issue and they initally offered to cancel the reservation if I desired, but then rescinded the offer and inferred I was lying about it. Stated they are not responsible for the accuracy of the web advertising and thus they couldn't be accountable for it. Because of the cancellation fee and being on the hook for the whole thing if they couldn’t re-rent it, I had no choice but to stay with it. End result-my family could not all stay in the home - my wife and I had to go elsewhere while my kids and their families stayed there. The lack of integrity displayed by the property managers in their dealings with me was very disappointing. Calls to "management" both at VRBO and All Around Seattle went unanswered.
Bottom line - don't stay here. I wish I hadn't.
The view is incredible, and the house is large & private, that is where it ends.
We arrived & was greeted by a neighbor telling us the water was shut off because of a major leak. After contacting the rental company, we were told that it would be at least 2 hours until someone could be there to look at it (not fix it). Check in is at 5pm, which meant that we would be without water until 7pm at the earliest. When asking what would happen if the damage could not be fixed, we were told, "we will figure it out if it happens". We ended up fixing the leak ourselves, the person they sent out to take a look at the problem was the house cleaner. We had to go out and find a hardware store to buy tools and repair the damage out of our own pockets.
After reading less that appealing reviews about this property (after booking and paying for the property in full), I contacted the property manager to express my concerns of broken furniture, she assured that she would send someone out to ensure that everything was okay. Upon arrival, & after speaking to the property management about the problems with the leak, I was told that the call I placed the day prior was to inquire about dirty furniture, not broken.
Unfortunately the disappointment didn't end there. There are signs all around the property with rules & instructions, hand written signs telling you to keep certain doors open, printed & framed signs saying that the house is a "No Noise Zone" & signs inside every fireplace saying that they are not functional. Closets are filled with dirty laundry and empty boxes. Kitchen cabinets are filled with expired crackers and dirty spices, the drawers are filled with paper plates & half empty rolls of foil. There is every kind of tool you will ever need to make a drink, but there are no tongs to cook with. In the basement, there is a nook filled with a mish-mosh of junk from broken hula hoops & a mismatched croquet set to life vests & a random seat from a minivan.
The towels in the bathroom look like they have been taken from the owner's home, no matching sets, just a mess of different old towels. There is also a lack of pillows for the beds in the house.
As an apology, the property manger offered our party a substantial gift card for dinner at a local restaurant. Though an appreciated gesture, it does not negate the immense number of problems that we faced in this house.
It was a lovely site, great view and well appointed vacation home. We appreciated the note from the staff. We enjoyed ourselves and had the site met our expectations.
Centrally Located on Beautiful Redondo Beach. Close to everything Downtown Seattle has to offer. Very close to Seattle International Airport, Chambers Bay Golf Course, Auburn Super Outlet Mall, Mount Rainier etc.
