Wonderful little cottage close to Ogunquit

  • 4 of 5

Our family had an absolutely wonderful week at Jim and Kathleen's cottage... it was comfortable, clean, cozy, and had a very-well equipped kitchen/grill. The covered front porch was was great for relaxing, grilling, eating/drinking, and the backyard was great for campfires. This cottage is part of a small "village" of cottages on a development with a shared inground pool and older but still usable playset. There was plenty of common space, lawns, and a little brook for playing and running around with the kids. Even a couple blueberry bushes great for picking! The town of Ogunquit, Marginal Walkway, etc. is actually walkable for adults (there's only a very short stretch where you're walking/running/biking along the shoulder of Rt 1 before the sidewalk begins at the Ogunquit Playhouse). Perhaps older kids could walk it, too, but for small kids/strollers, a very short drive was needed to get to town. By car, several beaches, shops, lighthouses, hiking, restaurants, etc. are very quick and easy to get to. We really appreciated the hospitality and warm welcome; nice bottle of red wine was a great touch! And Jim stopped by a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for a wonderful first stay in Maine!

MAINE STAY

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for Nana, Bopbop, Daddy, Mommy, Addie and Jackson! Great kitchen, hard wood throughout with recessed lighting. Gracious host right down the street. A perfect vacation. We recently sold out cabin in Colorado, where we vacationed yearly. This was a great 1st vacation rental! Thanks Jim and Kathleen!

Perfect weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cottage, it had everything that we needed. We had a wonderful time and plan on making it an annual trip. We also thought it was so nice of the owners to bring us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!

Sincerely,

Kelly, Greg, Molly and Izzey

Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in this lovely quiet cottage and were close enough to the Ogunquit playhouse, beach and Marginal way, that it made everything accessible. Jim also checked in multiple times to make sure we had everything that we needed. Overall it was a great escape and we hope to use the same cottage in the future.
