Our family went to Wanderlust to get away for a few days and enjoy the Husband's birthday! We had some so the best weather and an amazing time.
The cabin itself is beautiful. When you pull up, its set off the road and looks so inviting. Getting to the cabin is simple. We discovered a second entrance near a brewery which made it easy to get in and out of. The rooms were perfect for our family of 4. Our toddler slept in the nook upstairs and loved it! It was so convenient to have a pack and play and high chair available for our infant as well!
The property was perfect. It was clean and tidy and had everything available that we could have possibly needed. The owner did reach out to us and let us know how to get in and things to do in the area. They were very friendly and easy to talk with and get ahold of.
I would recommend the property to all my family and friends. It was perfect, especially with our little ones in that there was a little cabin outside for them to play in during the warm afternoons we had!
While in Broken Bow, we spent several of the days at the park and hiked and play on the children's playground. We discovered a museum within the park and enjoyed learning about the history of Forestry and seeing log cabins over 100 years old. The trails were great and easily marked. We went on a 4 mile hike with our children and they had fun as well as us. It was a good workout all around for everyone! We highly recommend Greatful Head Pizza in Hochatown! The staff was friendly and the pizza is AMAZING!
We brought the majority of our food which was convenient for us in the off season. The fire pit outside was used every night making smore's and memories with our kids and recommend everyone sit outside and enjoy the crackle of the fire and hear the noises around you!
My girlfriend and I stayed here in December 2014 and had a wonderful weekend. The cabin is secluded-we could only see one other cabin in the winter. In the fall or summer I doubt any can be seen. We had a great time visiting the state park, hiking along the river, and enjoying the local restaurants. There was a ton to do while we were at the cabin also. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed the fire pit. There were complimentary gift baskets there when we arrived, complete with a s'more package, which was wonderful.
The cabin is beautifully designed and equipped with flat screens in every room, with DirecTV. There were plenty of movies and games also available. My favorite part was the outdoor fireplace on the side of the house. It was so peaceful to sit there at night, enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountains.
I would recommend this cabin to family, friends, or anyone else looking for a great place to stay. There are 2 king bedrooms and a queen bed in a secluded loft.
During the day, go enjoy boating on Broken Bow Lake, fishing or even fly fishing in the Lower Mountain Fork River. At the state park go for a mini-train ride, go horseback riding, or take a hike on the many well-marked nature trails in the park.
